Alexandrina Duarte

Alexandrina was born on the 28th of January in 1791 in Lisbon, Portugal. She grew up in an upper class household, her parents being a Count and Countess. Growing up, her mother taught her everything a lady would need to know. she attended dance and pianoforte lessons, tea parties among other events for young ladies. When she turned 21, her father and Captain William Aubry made and arrangement to take her to London, England as her prospects for a happy life were not at their peak in Lisbon. She left Lisbon that year and has been living in the Aubry household with Captain Aubry and his sister since. while she was on the way to London, she learned French from the Captain to pass the time on the ship as they traveled. she became fluent enough to say she now knew not only her mother tongue, Portuguese, but also English and French as well.

She settled into life in England fairly easily. She had no issues making friends once she debuted that same year of her arrival as she believed in keeping her enemies, or in this case her competition, closer than her friends.
