Harulin Forgera

Harulin wears a forest green dress with golden stitchings that ends just below her knees. Underneath, she wears a long-sleeved silver and green "dress" that resembles chain-mail. She has black stockings/socks, and she wears brown boots that reach mid-shin. She also wears a dark purple cloak with golden accents. She wears no jewelry other than a golden diadem-type piece with dark purple gems, which she forged herself after running away. Her curly hair is always worn in a combination of pigtails and braids, and it is never seen not tied back.

Harulin was born into a noble dwarf family well known for their history as blacksmiths. She was very well-behaved as a child, always following directions and never speaking out of place. As she grew up, she was taught the art of forging weapons by her doting father. Her mother taught her how to behave as a lady, which led to Harulin's love for fashion and makeup.

Harulin grew up being well educated and was friends with some of the other nobles's daughters. She was generally well liked for being an "obedient daughter" and an overall sweetheart. However, she never learned basic things such as cooking or cleaning until she was on her own. She also never grew fond of any alcoholic beverages outside of the occasional wine, which other dwarfs find very odd.

At the age of 20, Harulin's father agreed to place her in an arranged marriage with Gosam Heavyblood - the son of a noble family who had agreed to share the resources of their land in exchange for Harulin's hand in marriage. She tried to reason with her father to alter the deal but he had made it clear that the only way for Forgera family to continue their lineage as blacksmiths was to get their hands on the resources in the Heavyblood's land. Harulin did not argue and accepted her duty.

The wedding day came, and vows and rings were exchanged, much to Harulin's disappointment. At the reception, Harulin's father presented her with a special gift - her very own handaxe that he had forged himself, almost as an apology for putting her through this arrangement. Like most dwarfish celebrations, the Forgera's and the Heavyblood's partied well into the afternoon. Everyone was drunk out of their minds - except for Harulin, of course.

As the party came to an end, Harulin was dragged off into the Heavyblood's estate, where she would be living with her new husband for the rest of her life. In their now shared bedroom, Harulin placed her new handaxe on her side-table and began to prepare to sleep. However, Gosam had other ideas. He had forced himself onto her, tore her wedding garments away, and proceeded to...... criminally do the nasty in an un-consenting manner. Harulin had tried to scream for help, but she knew that the other residents of the Heavyblood estate would not come to her aid. So she did the only other thing she could do.

Although it was a struggle, Harulin had managed to grab her handaxe off of the bedside table, and proceeded to swing at Gosam. She managed to get one hit into his ribs, which caused him to roll off of her and stop his assault on her body. She took this chance to attack him repeatedly, catching him in the head, chest, and neck over and over again for several minutes, splattering his blood all over the room and killing him. His body was completely destroyed, it didn't even look like the body of a dwarf.

Harulin doesn't know how long she spent sitting in the room, trying to catch her breath, trying to clear her head... but she couldn't come down from the high she got from killing. In fact, it gave her a glorious head-rush, and made her truly feel free for the first time in a long while. She thought back on what had just happened to her, and she suddenly got an evil, awful idea.

That's right. She had taken it upon herself to behead every member of the Heavyblood estate while they were sleeping. Quick and painless, with lots of blood. Just what they deserved for ignoring her cries for help. When she had finished her deed, and everyone in the estate was dead, she found a spare room, and went to sleep.

Harulin woke up at dawn the next morning in a cold sweat when she realized exactly what she had done the night before. She murdered someone! She murdered multiple someones! She was even still covered in blood. Things were not looking in her favor. Quickly cleaning and dressing herself in whatever she could find, she sneaked out of the Heavyblood's estate and into the cold dawn air, taking her special handaxe with her.

She did not bother heading back to her family estate. If anyone in this area were to discover what she had done... she doesn't even want to think about what would become of her.

With nothing but the clothes on her back, her special axe, and some currency taken from the Heavyblood's, Harulin ran away from the Mountain Dwarf colony, never to come back.

Harulin has been traveling across the world on her own ever since. She took this free time to learn how to play various instruments, and even learned some magic skills. She now travels from town to town to play music for the civilians. She never tells anyone her family name, for fear that they have heard of her and turn her in to... someone. She prefers to stay out of violent matters, and she hasn't killed since the night of her wedding.

Although, she's been thinking... what would happen if she were to kill again?

Despite her overall cheerfulness and optimism towards everyone and every situation, she has a secret. Should she ever be in a position of fighting - or even killing - she will revert back to her state of post-trauma, and go on a "happy killing spree." She is prone to fits of laughter and glee whenever carnage or the macabre is involved. When she is in this state, she is utterly fearless and lives for bloodshed. After the effects of this state have worn off, she will be extremely fatigued and will need to sleep.
