No, more like eons since Ariel was created. She didn't quite remember her "birth" but ever since she was created, she had been a warrior in God's Holy Army and that is all she knows.
Throughout the years of her existence, she has been serving God's purpose in serving and bowing down to his last creation - the humans. In God's eyes, his perfection but in Ariel's eyes they are nothing but a failure. A species doomed to be damned by their selfish and lustful needs. However, she would never truly express her opinion, not unless she wanted to be cast away like God's first and favorite child - Lucifer.

Following the Luciferic rebellion and the War in Heaven , she was quite neutral, but believed in forgiveness. Forgiving Lucifer for his defiance and teaching him the right path again, yet it seemed as if her father and her brother, Michael had already made up their minds. Michael, the younger archangel brother had to cast his oldest down to an imprisonment. Though before things got up to that point, Ariel had begged her older brother to speak with Lucifer, plead with him to revert his ways instead of casting him away. Her efforts became futile, as Michael asked her one thing - "Do thy follow thy father?" to which she replied "Yes." Michael had decided not to question her loyalty and continued to fight the war against his own bretheren. Lucifer, along with one third of the angelic host was defeated by the Archangel Michael and was cast down from Heaven to the earth where he became known as "Satan", a name which literally means; "Adversary" as well as "Devil", which means, "Accuser of the brethren."
After the war of Heaven, any angel who had opposed the way of God was to be sent down, fallen with Lucifer in his prison. But those who remained neutral such as Ariel suffered an even more gruesome punishment. The lower class archangel herself had never experienced such pain until she suffered the wrath of Michael. Hacked into the deepest part of her subconscious, she was "reprogrammed" as they called it.

Before the war of Heaven, Ariel was a rather bright and curious angel.

Significant Characters
God
Common misconception is that all angels have seen or heard from God directly however that is far from the truth. Most angels have not even met or seen God except for his sons and the lower archangels. Ariel, herself, has only met her father once and that was when she was first created. All she could remember was feeling this bright, warmth of light and she felt safe. Despite not seeing him or interacting with him, she is loyal to a default and hold out hope that he would soon return to guide them once again.
Gabriel
Just like Ariel, Gabriel was rather neutral during the War in Heaven. Though she hasn't really interacting much with this archangel, they seem to have a mutual trust with each other.
Michael
Ariel is not afraid of anything or anyone except for Michael. The older archangel seems to make her skin crawl. Having suffered his wrath first hand - her image of him as shifted. She once had nothing but admiration for her stronger brother but now it has been replaced with constant fear of making him angry.
Bazaar
Bazaar is a lower level angel than Ariel. He is a Seraphim who is also one of God's most loyal and fierce warrior though lately he has been working under close guidance with Michael, the head of Heaven right now. He was also Ariel's consort. The two had been together for as all as she could remember and being with him made her feel something close to what the feeling of being in love was like. Like humans, Ariel considered Bazaar to be her soulmate. However, they were never allowed to mate. In fact angels were forbidden to engage in sexual activities due to the risk of reproducing. Even so, Ariel had felt a strong bond just by merely being around his soul. But that all changed after the war in Heaven. When she was targeted to be reprogrammed, Bazaar personally delivered her to Michael, telling her it was for her best interest. In his mind, having her reprogrammed was better than having her cast away but in her mind, it was the greatest betrayal she had ever experienced. After the reprogramming, the two drifted apart, whereas Ariel never seemed to truly forgive him and Bazaar never been loyal to her, only Michael.
Lucifer
Before his fall to damnation, Ariel had a rather pleasant relationship with God's first son. She cared for him, as she did for all her other brothers and sisters, even begging Michael to end the war peacefully. But once he was damned, her bond was severed.
Raphael
Ariel has a rather strong relationship and connection with this archangel. She has worked closely with him during her existence. He has taught her everything she know about becoming one with nature and the way to protect God's creation. He was rather upset with Michael for 'reprogramming' but knew he could not exactly stop the stronger archangel. for that reason, Ariel's respect for him as to shifted.

Recently the two have found themselves in a desperate situation that required them to work together. During their alliance, the two formed an unpredictable bond that started from the moment he tasted her blood. He ended up being entirely obsessed and darkly enamoured with her. He thought she was the most beautiful thing he ever saw and was determined to have her from the beginning. She develop an odd sense to protect him and well as be by his side. What started as a mission to eliminate him became an unusual bond... -
