      "A pillar of pure white light appeared before Mathius. Out from it stepped Miquella, fair and pure. His face had a calm, relaxed expression with both eyes closed.
      "Hello, Mathius Kothinto."
      His words came out silkily smooth and breathy, the kind of tone that would be easy to fall asleep to. His presence seemed to light up the environment, and make everything about the world feel a little kinder.
      "I have a question for you. Would you be so kind as to answer?""
