2. artistic peers. perhaps a long- or short-distance tolkien/lewis-esque friendship is in order. everyone needs a best friend. long-term.
3. intervention. someone tells old dad silk to be concerned, so he shifts the responsibility to someone else. long-term or short-term.
4. wonder. show her something good, something to breathe some yellow light back into the spaces between her bones.
