  • The Spice~

    Maleina is a simple, yet strange vulpine-like woman. Stricken by blindness, she manages to lead a very prosperous life with her very trusted and loving kit familiar (Rika) at her side. She developed an interest in herbs and spices quite early on in her existence, at first foraging and eventually growing them by use of knowledge gained through her tireless studies and trials. As her interests expanded to more alchemic study, she began creating a variety of substances both mundane and useful. Relying on taste, smell and touch to move about her world, Maleina was sick a fair deal throughout the years, but has since developed high resistances and even immunity to normally deadly plants, toxins, components and concoctions both of her making and not. As an unfortunate side effect, she can appear to be a little adrift in her own mind at times. While not crazed, she did have a few harmless yet strange tendencies and was almost always under the effects of her own testings. She was her own guinea pig. Even so, she loves what she does and has more recently been developing medicines for treating injuries both minor and severe as well as medicine for pain to complete sedatives. The effects of which left the woman in a near constant lax and pleasant state, high as a kite one might say! Despite it all, she never seems to be incapable of living normally amongst others, diverting all away from suspicion that she was under the effects of anything at all! She appeared to be a normal, friendly and pleasant woman with aspirations to grow her business and help many, many people in-turn.
