Shea Cocoa Butter

Shea is the founder and owner of Bedrock Body Builders. A former accomplished MMA fighter, she reigned as champion for 3 years running before suffering a near-fatal injury during an underground match she was personally requested to take part in. Several months into recovery, she announced her retirement and decided to use her entrepreneurship skills and healthcare knowledge to good use and open a local gym.

Shea is noted to be very laid back and down to earth, making her very easy to engage with in conversation. A jokester, she typically breaks the ice with a quip or two. Wanting those who speak with her to feel at ease and completely relaxed. Even when speaking professionally, she knows how to create a very casual conversational atmosphere.

Shea mentions frequently that she can not stand “boujee” and pompously arrogant people. She appreciates classiness, but she cannot stand people who “flex” and flaunt what they have, preferring humility.

When asked, her employees express that she is very approachable and strongly upholds her open-door policy with a strong tolerance for equally upholding conversations held in confidence. Her goal when becoming a business owner was to reset the mindset many have with management. So far, she has done a pretty commendable job of holding true to those values.
