        "Bertha couldn't help but let out a hearty, thunderous chuckle. "Now who told ye tha'?! Come now, ye mekin' me go all red- how embarrassin'..." The large woman would hang her head in bashfulness; her eyes, though diverted, twinkled warmly like hot honey. "I ain't one'a them fanceh chefs. Vittles tha' feed tha soul is my specialty... make of tha' what ye will." She explained, looking up with something of a vaguely proud expression. "If yer up for tha task, I'd love'ta share a warm meal wit ye, so consider et a date! Maybeh we can swap some recipes, an' a story or two! Jest name tha place an' time." Bertha beamed."

            "Bertha would shuffle slightly, having noticed the man, carefully maneuvering herself as to not accidentally squish the young girl she seemingly just befriended. "She yers?" She'd ask gesturing to her pint-sized companion with a splayed hoof, before tilting her head curiously at the towering male. Judging by his gentle, yet watchful regard towards the young girl, Bertha would deduce as much. She, after all, had been a parent too, many, many years ago. She knew the looks- wary and yet simultaneously content with watching one's offspring explore the confusing world of socialization. It was always bittersweet to see. "Ye've got a real sweet yin right 'ere. Best keep yer eye on 'er, tha good lord knows wha' kind of trouble these wee rascals ken get into." She'd say with a laugh, pawing gently at the girl- who looked comedically small against the bovine's hoof- ushering her towards her guardian, if permitted."
