Ridley Sloane

Sloane is capable of transforming into different forms:

1. SHADE
A form similar to his humanoid form, except it retains no distinctive features of a human, and is shadow pitch-black silhouette-like figure, so much so that light refuses to reflect off of him. He can show his earned wounds and scars through his lifespan - both old and the freshest before death - at will in this form. This form enables him to easily make use of his shapeshifting capabilities.

2. HUMAN
In this form, he retains the shape, color, and wounds of his body moments before death. He cannot hide his scars or wounds unless he has switched to his shade form. The cause of his deaths are two permanent bullet wounds on his chest.

3. IN YOUR MIND
Alternatively, Sloane can simply reside in his host's mind and only use his voice to interact with the possessed person, exchanging inner dialogue, but unable to read their thoughts. This form is exclusively capable of entering a person's dreams or daydreams.


4. MORTAL PLANE
Sloane can readily have a physical manifestation at will, or be locked into it due to certain stimuli/interactions. In this form, he can alternate between a Shade or Human presentation, or a mix of both at the same time.


INVISIBILITY
Sloane is capable of choosing to be invisible to everyone else, or to select people, appearing as though he’s a ‘hallucination’ to some and undetectable by others. However, if he uses invisibility, he cannot activate his physical manifestation, consequently meaning he can’t be offensive with his invisibility. Invisibility and intangibility go hand-in-hand.

INTANGIBILITY
Sloane can phase through walls, possess inanimate objects to move them around, with the maximum being able to shake an entire house like a poltergeist. He can be intangible while simultaneously retreating from his physical manifestation.

SHIFTING DARKNESS
Sloane can shapeshift into many different forms, shapes, and sizes, but only temporarily as it is an ‘active’ ability that strains on him. His Vengeful Spirit status tends to take on one of the two default forms. Anything outside of those and he becomes strained. He only takes these forms in case of transport, comedic relief, or otherwise miscellaneous reasons for certain periods of time.

RIGHT WHERE IT HURTS
As a Vengeful Spirit, Sloane has a glaring wound in his chest. He can be weakened when he is hurt in the same way that had caused him death. In his case, two bullets shot to his chest, rendering his heart to fail. While these wounds are sensitive to touch and pressure, inflicting pain in this area or using the same manner to cause his death could leave him seriously weakened and destabilized for a short while.


TRANQUIL ZOMBIE
He can be prone to staring at bright objects, namely pearls, moonstone and the moon (not limited to the full moon). Once exposed to a pearl, multiple pearls, moonstones, or (full moon) moonlight, Sloane becomes immediately docile, and loses complete focus until he has been removed from moonlight or objects of affect are out of his sight/senses. It is thought that the reason being is that a Vengeful Spirit has a tendency to find ‘peace’ and ‘move on’, and these similar objects and the celestial body of the moon are reminiscent of The Great Beyond, the gate beyond to the afterlife all souls are thought to naturally transcend to, or so folklore dictates.

UNRELENTING URGES
When Sloane is turned on, he is pressured to manifest physically, or if he's already physically manifested, he cannot revert back to his ghostly manifestation. This forces him to interact with the laws of physics until he is no longer under the high.

FERAL
In rare and extreme circumstances, when Sloane is pushed to the limit, his body may undergo certain changes that transform his head into a beastly canine, hands with claws, and powerful inhumane reflexes, speed, sense of smell, etc. in favor of losing most of his humanity - rendering him animalistic in behavior.
