Kept close to Crooked's breast are those who prove themselves loyal, and hardworking, and their numbers are so very few. He regards so many as 'friends', calls them such to breed rapport, when in reality they are contacts he utilizes for various ends. Those who are true, are family, are bone, as deep and as sure as ones well-tended and as easy to splinter as weak ones; he cultivates his social orchard with great care, tending to those distant and those close alike so that no one ever knows which party they belong to. He is careful, very careful, like some great watchful owl, about who he favors particularly and only makes these designations after lengthy consideration. One can surmise he does this arms-length routine to protect himself. Those selected are doted on extensively, and given ample attention. Those he finds distasteful are tormented socially for his amusement or dealt with physically. No more thought is put into it than that beyond planning and disposal.

Little Man of Toilet Paper. A man who decidedly hates Crooked with every fiber of his being. Crooked finds him extremely useful, however, and has 'convinced' him to remain in his employ.
