Lexi Mills

Lexi Mills... age twenty two... current status: generally in deep and over her head.

Life isn't fair. People say it as a tired old cliché, usually when they're pontificating on something or otherwise reveling in their good fortune compared to others. To some, life is less fair than others, and Lexi falls squarely into that category. She wasn't perfect by any means but she wasn't unusual either. That was until the monster came.

The same monster bit Lexi and made her into a version of what it is.

Lexi became a werewolf the next full moon and has been ever since. She has no idea what to do about it either. She left home, driven out to get away from the rumors and whispers that surrounded her family, but life on her own hasn't been easy either. Every full moon, the beast calls, and all Lexi can do is try to isolate herself somewhere she won't hurt anyone else. She's been successful, thus far, but she knows it's only a matter of time before it happens. She's learned a little about her condition through trial and error but none of it's perfect. None of it was taught, beyond her own experiences.

Lexi's a terrified young woman. Terrified of herself, terrified she'll hurt someone else, and more recently terrified at the small part inside of her that's beginning to enjoy the Change when it happens. Terrified that the Change isn't limited solely to the lunar cycle anymore either. She needs help but has no idea where to get it. She makes temporary acquaintances and keeps people at arms length because she's terrified, deep down, that she's going to hurt them if they get too close. Even more terrifying, to her, is that when it happens... she might like it.

People and wolves are both social creatures though and staying away from them just isn't an option. Lexi instinctively craves connection and so, despite her rational judgement, she'll find herself around others all the same. Just not around the full moon... never during the full moon...

Lexi can be hurt or killed as part of an RP though her condition does allow her to recover faster than a normal human... and near instantaneously when transformed. She can experience violence, intimacy, or anything else in the course of a story. Just as we don't always have a say in what happens to us in life, Lexi is a "no consent" character. While I appreciate a heads up or a discussion ahead of major occurrences, nearly anything goes with her.

I'll RP sexual content in detail with 18+ writers. I write them realistically and consider them an important part, but not the sole defining aspect, of a character. If you'd prefer to fade-to-black, that's also fine, but please let me know ahead of time lest I accidently make you uncomfortable. If the RP is based more along a hook-up, it will be a short term encounter which Lexi has before she moves on lest she hurt the person on accident. True love in a romantic sense will come slower and with more difficulty. Lexi does have an f-list for the curious.

Anonymous characters are accepted on a case-by-case basis. If there's hardly any info on your character's profile, or a lack of any images, I'll decline. Profile images are a must and I want to see the anonymous character is something that the writer behind it put time and interest into. It doesn't need to be a biography but there needs to be some meat on the bones. Characters with anime depictions will be politely rejected; they just don't do it for me.

If you want to end an RP, let me know. It happens sometimes that characters don't sync, a writer loses interest, or we write ourselves into a corner. If more than a week passes without a reply, absent prior notification, I'll archive the RP. To resume, just post, but I won't hound you for them. I'm sometimes slow myself and I understand casual post-rates and infrequent availability. I don't expect daily posts and can't guarantee them myself.

As mentioned before, Lexi is a non-consent character. Nearly anything goes with her so long as it makes sense in the RP. If in doubt, just ask. I value OOC conversation as well as IC RP. Common courtesy is the unofficial guideline, as it should be in everything.

I welcome RP with other supernatural characters. Other werewolves, vampires, witches, and "classic" horror movie monsters are welcome with one caveat. Unless it's a D&D-esque fantasy setting, I'm not interested in angelic or demonic characters. They don't do it for me. Lexi herself can be tailored for any era of play or different worlds. Her default is a modern, dark reflection of our real world, but I'm happy to play her in Faerun or Thedas too (for example). Different settings will see different tailoring to make her fit the lore but the core of who she is will remain the same. A young woman who was turned into something inhuman and is learning to cope with it.

Lexi has a "default" history on the following pages but I'm extremely flexible if something needs to be tweaked, altered, or otherwise changed to fit a different setting or world.
