Anabelle Marks

In a city state just north of Russia was a facility dedicated to an idea. The idea of a perfect soldier. Unquestioning, loyal, but most of all, Hard as shit to kill. The Geneva convention stated that experimentation on humans not only immoral but a violation of nature. Thus was it banned. But this facility, the gears of it's dark purpose would not be deterred.

Instead they would cull the heard of another race. A race of lupins in who had formed a clan in the mountain's of Russia. Wolves anthropomorphic in nature. Anthropomorphic creatures were not uncommon, but stood apart from humanity as a whole. As mankind's technology advanced, the more primitive of the races were pushed to outer lands where they protect their territories ferociously to this day.

One such tribe were the red claws. A tribe tot he north of Russia. Their leader was an incredible creature. Standing 7 feet tall with a muscular structure that would make a body builder cry. Kain was his name and he was an incredible fighter. This is not his story though. This story is about his daughter. Anabelle and the day he lost her to the russian scientists looking to perfect their craft.

Kain taught Anabelle to hunt. He taught her to fight. When the invaders came to the camp she and him fought ferociously side by side. They were strong pair. Holding out the longest in their tribe. Ultimately Kane was shot by a sniper and Anabelle was tranqed but another sniper. It was decided Kane would be too powerful to control. But his daughter.... Not only was she the perfect candidate but she was a female. If the experiments were a success they could use her as a genetic foundation for a new race of lupin soldiers.

Anabelle was tank to the facility and put in a cage where she was denied food and water for days. Each day they would approach and each time she attacked the cage walls. A cold blood thirst in her eyes that could freeze hell over. Eventually a day came where she was too weak to fight. They beat her with in and inch of her life and left her with scraps of food. Hungry and in agony. Anabelle gave in to her instincts and she ate the meat that was provided. It was a small portion. Only enough to get by. To keep her just alive long enough for another beating. This went on until Anabelle stopped fighting back against the violence. She welcomed the beating because and partook of their food in whole. Until one day... the cage door was left open. The guard forgot to lock it.

Anabelle left the cage the hallways were bare of any guard. The door was right at the end of the hall. Her freedom was within her grasp. Her belly rumbled and the smell of a fresh slaughter filled her nose. She turned from the door and sought out the food. A fresh carved lamp lay on a butchers table. Anabelle with all the ferocity of a feral child tore in to in and claimed her fill. When she was full she returned to her cage in the same manner as always. It had become a habit. beating, eat, return to the cage. Only this time there was no beating. Just a meal and her cage.

The next day she was brought another lamp. No scraps. A full feast for a king and she devoured it without a second though. When me approached with the same clubs they used to beat her before. She retreated back to the cage obediently. The beatings had stopped and the food was gracious. Anabelle was little more than a dog accepting the food of her masters. After a while they trained her that meal time was over at the sound of a popper that the commander used. A unique sound that triggered her retreat every time. Broken and trained like a good dog. Now the work could truely begin.

Little did Anabelle know during her imprisonment that they had been perfecting their craft with a new drug called Genisis-18. The 18th in a line of experiments designed to perfect the body. Many Lupine's of her village were taken, not just here and all were experimented on. of the 172 Lupine's captured. 8 survived to become prototypes. Genesis 17 was a success and an altered more potent version of the drug was made special for Anabelle.

Anabelled was taken to a chamber where she was sealed inside and the drug was given in arasol form. In filled her lungs and her body burned. She howled in to the night. A powerful unearthly howl that brought fear to every man and woman in that facility. All except the commander. Who grinned knowing what he had created. The amazing thing, the part he didn't count on, was that when Anabelle howled. The other 8 lupin's in captive, howled back in kind. Anabelle emerged from the capsule with no changes. She was still young so the effects were not immediate. Angered by this the commander demanded to know what happened.

Commander: "Why isn't she stronger, what did you do!?"
Lead Scientist: "I don't know. The genetic analysis shows that it was a perfect bond. Yet her body shows no changes. Look"
The scientist showed him the paper print out and just as he had stated. The serum was perfectly bonded with her cells. There was no sign of rejection. In fact she has the highest rate of saturation of all of them with a 99% efficacy.
Commander: "Very well.. But keep her under surveillance."

When Anabelle was returned to her cage she curled up in the corner and refused to move. Her body wracked with a pain she had never felt. The beatings had stopped. She was good for them. Why did they punish her again. This isn't fair. They came to her with more food yet she refused to move. This went on for three days before a soldier was sent in to make her move. He poked her with the club and got nothing. "MOVE DAMN YOU!" He said as she struck her with the club. The club thunked on her arm but it didn't have that bone breaking feel. In fact it felt more like he was beating a brick. Anabelle stood up slowly and turned to the man with a snarly anger. A cold fear ran down his spine he was subsequently torn to shreds by the wolf. She effortless snapped his bones like they were tooth pics. It was clear that a change had formed indeed. She was stronger. The commander entered the room with a cold glare. Anabelle, who had just finished her meal stood poised to strike at him too. The commander raised his arm and clicked his clicker. A cold fear ran through Anabelles body. Her ears perked and she back off to the back of the cage still snarling. He clicked it again and she became silent. "Good... did you enjoy your meal? I thought you deserved a taste of those who took such pleasure in your beatings. Eat up Anabelle. I need you strong for your training have only just begun."

Anabelle went under a decade of training. They put her body to the ultimate test and the more they threw at her the stronger she became. In the first year she could bench more than four times her own weight. The fallowing year she could bench a ton. It only scaled up from their till she could lift entire tanks. She couldn't throw them far. 100 yards was her best toss thus far.

Strength wasn't all she got. Her hearing improved. her sight improved. Her reflexes improved. her metabolism improved. her sense of smell improved. Her muscles, body mass, and her height sky rocketed. Anabelle grew to a massive 7 foot 2 inches tall. The tinsel strength of the fur on her body was so strong it became like Kevlar. Essentially she because bullet proof to all but jacketed or high caliber rounds like a 50 cal.Her skin because tough. When blade were used against her, knives made little to no penetration and snapped. large blade achieved only minor penetration. A direct stab was required just to leave a flesh wound. But slashes never made it through her fur. The tinsel strength of those fibers was just too great.

The stronger Anabelle became the more ferocious a fighter she became. She would argue with the other soldiers. She refused to ever hold back. When put on teams for skirmish training she would not only hunt the other team but the members of her own team as well. One thing didn't change. When ever Anabelle became too routy. They would click the clicked and Anabelle would freeze like the loyal hound she had become. It was clear there was no putting her with humans. So she was placed in command of her own kind. The 8 surviving males from the testing. Forming a platoon known as Anthropomorphic Military Detachment Corps. A.M.D.C for short. The pack was known for one thing. Stealth.

Anabelle specialize as a sniper. Her superior sight gave her clear vision of to of to 250 yards without a scope. With a scope there was nothing she couldn't hit at any distance. With her raw wolf instincts. Feeling for wind, humidity, gauging distance by scent up to a 1000 yards down wind. All for this was second nature and it made her a sniper second to none. Because of her colossal strength the rifle she carried was calibrated just for her. The J1000 series tank buster. A Jacketed round so huge it could punch a tank at a 1000 years like butter.

With the use of the A.M.D.C, secret covert ops were put in place to advance Russia's war with US. Though the Cold War was fought without nukes. The A.M.D.C Were silently removing government heads and over turning skirmished around the world. Shifting power to Russia's side. Just as Russia was going to make a move on the US however, a spy had come back with word revealing A.M.D.C and a whistle blower published it in the Russian paper. The news traveled fast about a secret group of wolves that headed by a super-soldier by the name of "Whisper".

An internal investigation was performed and the A.M.D.C was disbanded. Russia tried to "expunge" the results of their experimentation. When they attempted to put down their soldiers for good. Anabelle protected her team mates and like any good commander, she helped them escape. They turned themselves in to the US embassy in Russia in exchange for leniency and protection they would expose the sect of Russia that had created them. They were subsequently put on trial for their crimes there after. The US kept its word and communed each of their sentenced from life in prison and in some cases even the death sentence, to 50 years for each of them. Provided that through out their sentence they remained in good behavior. That was the best they could do given the sheer number of war crimes they were involved in.

Anabelle and her group were separated across the US. Anabelle was denied any knowledge of where they were or the ability to communicate in any way. She was detained in maximum security facility on a black site island off the pacific coast. After her imprisonment the Human and anthro peace act was put in place where Anthropomorphic beings were afforded the same rights and laws as human beings. Thus were they inducted in to society as equals. Or so it was meant to be. The world split in two. Those who hated the anthros and the anthros and their sympathizers.

In the 50 years time that Anabelle was in prison. She was treated with respect and dignity. Something she was denied in the Russian camps. At first she knew not how to treat this. She saw it as weakness at first. The more she learned english, the more she spoke with the on site therapist. There were many times where Anabelle would quarrel with the other inmates and subsequently harm them. Thus was she assigned to David. A man dedicated to bringing her back from the feral creature the Russians had worked so hard to mold her in to.

Anabelle connected with David. He was the only person she truly trusted. David stood up for her every chance he got. Ultimately Davids career took him from the prison and in to the rest of the world. Where his research and development with Anabelle helped to create the cornerstone of creating the bridge between human and anthro. Anabelle was afford and hour of TV time a week which she used to watch David live out the rest of his career and change the world for the better. He died 2 years before her sentence was up.

When she got out, the first thing she did was visit his grave. "Thank you... David. You brought me back from the hell was I was locked away in. Through your kindness you didn't just change my heart. But you left me a legacy of peace. Thanks to you, I have a place in this world and so do my brothers and sisters. Rest knowing that were the best soldier. You may never have touched a gun in your life, but you wielding of the pen was just as formidable as any well aimed sniper. I'm going to carry on your legacy. I know you told me my hands were meant for more than taking lives. But we both know I was made for this. I will strike down any who threaten the peace you worked so hard to achieve." With her final to David she left a flower on his grave and vanished like a whisper in to the night.

Anabelle now serves and a mercenary/vigilante. Soon after she took up the mantle of "Whisper" she learned of a group called the Red Claws. A group formed by her fellow brothers and sister from the Russian camps. Unlike her, they didn't have the kindness of a stranger to lead them through the dark. Instead they formed a new clan. A clan with the sole goal of the superiority of anthropomorphic kind and the destruction of the human race. Out of respect a one of the members approached Anabelle and offered her a place in their pack. "No... I have a legacy to protect now and so do you. We have a standing peace with the humans. I'll give you this on warning. If you mean to threaten that peace, you best try and strike me down now. Because the next time I see you... you won't see me." She threatened. Ultimately the member backed off and Whisper's silent war with the Red Claws began.
