Casey Prowler

A grey-furred opossum with a bit of black giving them some sleeves and stockings along the latter half of the limbs. A thick mane around the neck flowed down a bit to help fluff up the chest while further down, a pouch along the belly bulged the gut out and left the 'poss with a bit of a chubby appearance. Flowing along in tow, a hairless tendril of a tail occasionally served as a spare hand, rather holding something to keep their paws free or clinging onto the environment whenever they were off the ground.

Casey's usually a pragmatic sort. Most things tend to be viewed through a lens of cause and effect or as tools with potential usage with the way everything interacts. It makes their job easier knowing how to quickly identify what part of the process isn't functioning properly and how to put things together again after they've been disassembled. The mindset effects other things though. Most of their belongings are valued more for their durability, utility, or simple comfort rather than any artistic or sentimental worth. The end result tends to be a rather plain appearance at first glance but with an efficiency unhindered by the clutter whenever there's work to be done. Unfortunately, this applies to people as well where they attempt to be polite and such but find emotional attachments difficult to form and maintain. They are however good at manipulation for better or worse and truthful albeit a bit blunt. For the friends they do have, they kinda serve as one of those folks who'll tell things as they are and how to maybe handle things once everyone is done reacting to the drama.

Self-care
"Onsen, bathhouse, steam room, hot tub, massage chair, ..."
Casey occasionally splurges on a bit of pampering. It's a guilty pleasure but one that's hard not to indulge in when the opportunity arises. Simple pleasures sometimes help with the trauma.

Cooking
"Ya appreciate a home-cooked meal after having to live a few years off the canned stuff."
While not too experienced, Casey enjoys messing around in the kitchen. Sure, cleanup is a bit of a mess but with the right ingredients, they can follow instructions well enough for most of the experiments to be edible.

Games
"Mostly survivor horror. Got a lil experience."
Something they enjoyed before the outbreak that is credited at least some part for their survival. Running a generator was too loud to enjoy the hobby during the event but now they can get back into it even if their taste is a bit outdated.

Exploring
"Call it a scavenger's instinct."
Casey likes to roam about. Not searching for anything specific. It's just something in their nature.

Crafting
"We all work with what we got."
Traps, weapons, or pretty much anything that's needed. If the supplies are there, it'd be a waste not to use them anyways. Messing around with stuff has left the opossum with a knack for building and fixing things.

Growing up in an old farmer town, Casey enjoyed a pretty peaceful upbringing. They weren't rich but it was a comfortable life up till the whole zombie outbreak thing. Getting ahold of a shotgun wasn't too hard and the population density wasn't as bad as other areas but there's only so much loot to scavenge up when every house is acres away from one another. Heading to the city for supplies, the opossum took to the rooftops for safety, sometimes making temporary shelters here and there while trying to keep from attracting too much attention from the hoards. Eventually, a more organized response came and the edges of the infected territory started to get pushed back inward. Clearing the city itself was a bit of a hassle with all the different spots for the zombies to lurk but luckily, they were just that rabies sort rather than the true undead so starvation and entropy was still a thing.

Military took their time closing the perimeter in around the quarantine zones and while not originally allowed to leave, survivors could earn supplies via a bounty system as they were sent to go thin out as many of the remaining infected as they could. It was better publicity than gunning them down in front of the cameras and a few folks wound up getting quite a following streaming their antics online. Casey preferred the more subtle route of just waiting for them to push their luck and come by later for the loot once the infected had cleared out. There wasn't really a solid way of proving anything to collect the bounty anyways. Eventually, the call was made to let some of the survivors submit to a medical analysis and possibly rejoin the rest of society but a lot of that ended up being more along the lines of getting shot with a tranq dart and dragged off to a lab for study. With time though, things did eventually return to normal. Once cleared for release, Casey finally got to leave the city, making one last trip through the home they used to know after it'd been converted into one of the military bases.

They just wanted to be done with it all. Disappearing back into society, they'd make a life for themselves as one of those handyman sorts. Get a phone number and a few cards, build and repair a few things at a lower cost than the professionals charge, get paid in cash. As long as they did good work, word of mouth kept the jobs coming and nobody asks too many questions. Living kinda low-profile was better anyways. The drama attention brought was just a headache and there were plenty of folks paranoid enough about another outbreak to try and hunt down any survivors they could track. As the years passed, the worries faded some and the 'poss got better at their work, finally managing to rebuild a bit of normalcy once all was said and done.

The opossum is a natural scavenger able to forage about finding things more effectively than others.

Uncanny Crafter
With a lil ingenuity, gathered materials can rapidly be converted into improvised tools for the situation.

Convincing Corpse
Playing dead taken to the extreme. Up to and including bodily mutilation that may fool the observer.

Hidden Horror
Heavy damage may trigger emergency biorecombination processes such as regeneration or fleshwarping into altered forms.

Breeding
Or just going through the motions. Still fun either way. Casey's a herm with both bits to work with so it's usually not too hard to work something out with whoever they're with. Generally, Casey tends to favor the casual route with the whole thing being treated as just something to do while lazing about and being intimate with somebody. They try not to come off as too slutty though, preferring to keep things kind of on the subtle side. That's not to say that all of the attempts are unsuccessful. The opossum's had a batch or two in the past and while it might've done a number on their figure, they did get a few perks to make up for it.

Vore
One of the harder kinks. Casey's aware of the stigma and isn't too public about the whole thing. They got a few friends who are into it though and occasionally let them indulge a bit. Sometimes it's something as simple as letting someone into their pouch for a bit of endosoma fun, marsupial perks letting them get a bit closer than normal without the risks involved. Oral vore tends to go as one might expect with the digestive processes involved but there's also things like unbirthing where someone might leave the 'poss with a different kind of belly bump for awhile. That and there is the occasional thing where someone wants to stuff themselves down their sheath for the chance to get pumped into someone else. It's silly but a little fun every now and then.

Transformation
Maybe they didn't get through the whole outbreak thing as unscathed as everyone thought. With a lower body temperature than might've been ideal for proper infection, whatever had caused it might've mutated somewhat when the 'poss didn't turn. There's a few ways to play into this such as species transformation where someone might get gradually altered during a romp or something. The rebirth route or someone having a bit too much to drink from the 'poss might be another option. That or Casey themselves might be the one doing the transforming but when they do, it's usually less on the sexy side and more of the body-horror split open into tendrils and bone weapons thing as they temporarily turn into a monster.
