    Gianni’s robust tenor voice can be heard echoing throughout the Research District intermittently throughout the week except on Sunday’s.

    Despite being Square aligned, he will do favors for factions relating to construction with reciprocity, typically requesting resources and/or cred to continue with the RDRP (Research District Repair Project.)

    While he has a mild distaste for the FM/UG Factions, he harbors no ill will toward any of their members and can interact amicably with most Orange & Purple characters (unless we decide otherwise…)

    As for Banditos, he is far more selective in who he’s willing to associate with. He is initially wary of all Banditos, and dislikes any destructive agents of chaos. (He’s not fond of graffiti…)

    Gianni has been living intermittently on the Island since the start of its construction in XX79 and may be familiar with and/or interact with any character, although he would have little interest in maintaining close friendships with characters under 30 (even then…bit of a stretch; 40 - 65 is probably his preferred range).

    Younger characters will be typically dismissed as children, but if a character is interested in the RDRP a mentorship relationship could be formed. Otherwise…get outta here, kid.

  • Backstory & Present

    Gianni came to the island in XX71 at 18 years old to help build the city as a construction laborer. He worked on and off on the build alongside bots until its completion in XX79, after which he returned to his family home in Northern Italy.

    After traveling across Europe, in XX82 he accepted an offer to take part in the Step Project while assisting with bot supervision and general maintenance on the island's various buildings and structures. He was officially part of Test Group 1 in the Purple District.

    Post V-Day, following the destruction of many buildings and bots, he began to resent people’s reliance on bots and various technologies for their well-being. After XX89 these feelings intensified, and eventually in XX99, he was inspired to leave the Purple District to return to the Research District and help them rebuild in the absence of bot assistance/availability.

    While still acknowledging their usefulness and using Vendies and other technology himself, Gianni greatly values people with trade jobs and skill sets that were primarily replaced by bots/tech.

    Gianni was never involved in an official capacity with the Funk Mafia, however, in XX99 he joined the war efforts in order to defend the district and his home. His participation in the consequential destruction of the research district was a contributing factor to his decision to help rebuild it.
