Lenora Rose Stoneshire was born on the stormy morning of October the 15th, the last child and the only daughter of the King and Queen of Andor. Her birth had been a grand affair with the common folk coming from all over the kingdom to celebrate the Princess. Her father however saw his daughter as the rise to power he desperately craved, a meal ticket to a higher power and a richer kingdom. Until she was sixteen Lenora could often to be seen out with her royal detail—her nanny taking her out into the town for errands and to show the young princess the real city and not just the affairs of the castle. She would watch in awe as the street performers acted out some of her favourite fairy tales and smiled widely when the women would give her flowers and bow respectfully. Even as a child she had envied the children around her with their dirty clothes and scrapped knees, wanting to be a part of the fun and away from the stuffy regimental training of her mother. On her sixteenth birthday she was forbidden from leaving the castle—her father already seeking out a suitable husband for his daughter from Kingdoms she had only heard tales about. While her brothers and parents continued to venture out to meet with foreign dignitaries and walk amongst the town, Lenora remained trapped within the castle walls with only her handmaiden and the rest of the staff to communicate with. Trapped within the castle walls and confined mostly to her bedroom Lenora had fallen hard and fast in love with reading. Her books a means of escape and a window into a better world than the one she currently lived in. She would swoon at the novels about love and passion, of white knights rescuing trapped princess and true love conquering all evil. Swash buckling pirates and treasure hunters lost deep in exotic lands. With her books the world was open, and her dreams didn’t feel as far as they once did. Her love of books instilling a longing for romance, affection, intimacy and adventure inside of her. She would often spend her days sat beside her window, a book in hand and the sound of the bustling streets below her cascading through the room. Fantasising about a life away from the castle and the pressure to be regal and perfect. |
Her Hobbies:
As her fathers only daughter and the key to his next strong alliance, Lenora spends a lot of time trapped within the castle walls and confined to her bedroom. With a lack of social interaction outside of her family Lenora developed a love for fiction and books in general; especially romance and adventure novels. She has a wide range of books and frequents the castle library and pays her hand maiden to slip new books into her room from the local village. She is also very talented at playing the violin and enjoys opening her bedroom window to listen to the street performers below her. She does not have many friends and only communicates with her family and the castles staff-- despite this Lenora has a good reputation and she enjoys playing games with the people who are designated to watch over her.

The Kingdom:
The Kingdom of Andor is a small almost village like town, with several taverns and various farms. It specialises in the export of crops and farming and has a mundane reputation. The King is a stoic but fair ruler who wishes to bolster his kingdom to heights beyond his reach. For this he has promised is daughter to the neighbouring Kingdom in exchange for notoriety and riches. The Kingdom is known to be friendly with an average crime rate, major crimes being a rarity amongst the town folk. It has enough money to keep it afloat, while known to export crops they are not the only Kingdom to do so and certainly are not the largest in the region. Lenora is well known throughout the kingdom though she is rarely seen away from her fathers side, she is considered kind hearted and charitable. The streets are clean and the gates left open for travellers and passing mercenaries.
