Maj is usually a busy body looking to keep himself occupied with as much work as possible, striving to make some sort of mark on the world. Keeping himself on the move and trying to expand his services far and wide in order to snag the job that'll set him up for the rest of his life - Or at least for a considerable amount of time to enjoy life. Maj can be seen as a money-motivated individual, often times looking for more ways to better his connections whenever possible. While he might be tight-fisted when it comes to money, he is not above helping people in severe need. Maj has a kind interior when it comes to suffering due to poverty, having undergone similar circumstances in his childhood and teenage years.

When it comes to more casual settings, Maj likes to have a flair of generosity and a damn good time. He wants to have a good time, and he wants the other participating individuals to have a good time as well. He holds a more relaxed attitude when business is not a factor, often times teasing and being slightly flirtatious in his endeavors. The man can take a hint, like with any line tossed into the water he knows when to reel it back in. Maj is a people-pleaser by nature, and can get frustrated when it comes to more complex predicaments. Like previously, he likes for everyone to have a good time. He doesn't like leaving bad tastes in people's mouth and will often times try to correct past mistakes.

Racial Abilities

Maj being a lantern fish and python hybrid boasts a few racial benefits to the male. It allows him to breathe underwater and withstand deep sea environments exceptionally well. Due to his lantern fish mix, Maj has several golden patterns that flow on his body and is capable of lighting up the immediate area around him with a nigh golden glow. His python mix also boasts a few benefits as well, giving his muscles incredible power which suits him both on land and air. He's also able to track based on smell through flicking his abnormally long tongue out in the air.

Magical Capabilities

Maj was mentored by a grizzled old lancer during his time in a mercenary band a long time in his past. He was taught how to defend himself both physically and magically by manipulating the aether in his body.

Jump: Maj has learned to manipulate the aether in his legs in order to launch himself high into the air before falling down. The merfolk is capable of launching himself about 30 to 60 feet in the air, and landing down onto the ground with either a rolling landing- Or through piercing a foe with his lance. When used underwater, this ability allows Maj to dart in the water with incredible speed- essentially becoming a living torpedo in the water.

Magic Sigil: Primarily used while in the air, this ability allows the user to create a solid magical sigil where their feet is. The platform lasts for only a second, and is generally used to assist in maneuvering with Jump while in the air as to avoid being a sitting fish.

Both of these magical practices eventually takes a toll on Maj, and overuse can cause severe fatigue and damage to the Merfolk's legs and body.

Weaponry

Maj does not have a diverse set of weaponry when it comes to fighting as the Merfolk will primarily use his trusty lance. The lance is of a solid make and is fairly durable. It has been tempered with aether in order to increase the strength and durability of the weapon in order to make sure that it does not break from usage. The bottom of the lance also has a long robust chain attached to it, which is commonly wrapped around the merfolk's arm in order to retrieve the lance if he throws it, or is disarmed.
