The Old Well

The head of the table. Eleanor Rosenfeld is the owner and manager of The Old Well speakeasy. She is beauty and grace incarnate, hailing from a long established vampire family. While her proper upbringing would seemingly clash with her choice of business practice, her social poise allows her to easily surf the upper echelon’s of Nightshade’s corruption, attracting a slew of wealthy clients to the bar.

Unlike most bosses within her field, Eleanor prefers a gentle touch when managing her business. She treats her employees like family and often dotes on them as if they were her own. Her gentleness is never to be confused with weakness, however. She does not take threats lightly.

Her achilles heel is a struggle with blood addiction, fueled by her days before running The Old Well, when her family fed on illegally acquired human blood. She manages it well enough, but risks relapse in times of great stress or strain on her mental well-being.

The right hand man of Eleanor Rosenfeld, Logan Wolven has been at the bar since it’s conception. Standing at a towering 7 feet and covered in thick muscle, to call Logan a giant almost feels like an understatement. It’s no surprise that he is the Old Well’s top, and most times only, enforcer.

Despite his intimidating stature and even more off putting reputation as a one-man army, Logan Wolven is as kind and caring as they come. A lifetime of wisdom rattles around in that head of his, along with all the rocks he claims are up there. He has a habit of adopting anyone and everyone who needs a home, boasting a large family of his own.

Coming within his range of dad-radar usually means you’ll have a pillar of support in no time. He is fiercely protective of those he’s close to, and remains staunchly loyal to the end.

Nadine is a more recent addition to The Old Well staff. She is the mathematical brains behind the business operations, with a mind for math that keeps careful track of the inventory and the money with ease. She was snatched from the hands of the crumbling Bertelli crime family, offered a better job and better security. Years of working behind the books and under the shadow of the Bertelli family has left her emotions in a stagnant state, as she views the world in a far more analytical state. Despite this her seemingly cold exterior, she is a loyal and reliable person to ally with. Her determination to complete a job and fulfill her duty is unwavering.

While most who are familiar with the old well know her as the quite accountant and record keeper, those unfortunate to have crossed Ms. Rosenfeld learn her other, secretive duty to the old well. She is skillful with scalple and many other fine blades. Anyone who isn't to be dealt with by Logan himself are unlucky enough to end up on her table.

One of the many, many adopted Wolven children, Mira is actually the chosen daughter of Logan's brother. His name is a sore spot within the Wolven family, and so Mira has come to live with her uncle Logan instead. Naturally inquisitive by nature, Mira had a passion for deconstructing any gadgets and devices she could get her hands on. Clocks almost seemed to shutter when she entered a room. As she got older, she began to get good at putting those gadgets and devices back together.

Going from putting what she deconstructed back together to using those pieces to construct entirely new tools. Growing into a talented inventor, Mira has become a valued member of the old well, providing the knowhow to fix just about anything that breaks, as well as crafting new tools and devices for her uncle or Eleanor specifically to use.

Mira is quiet at first, and even after gaining her trust, she is a soft spoken individual. But really if you just ask her about any one of her inventions, she can talk for hours.

Gunner is seen the least around the Old Well, mostly due to the fact that he's not actually an employee there, but more of an ally. Gunner is a detective within the Nightshade police force, and while his job would typically be to bust the Old Well and it's proprieters, but he considers them to be among the more honorable of illicet business within Nightshade. If anything, he finds less corruption within the Old Well than he does his own police department. He steers investigations away from the Old Well and tips them off to any noses sniffing too close, as well as inside information on their competitors. In return, they provide him with information on rivals and other illicet businesses within Nightshade.

Gunner is the serious type. He is often quiet and keeps to himself, with a bit of a temper that he works dilligently to keep under control. His name is well known throughout the Nightshade underworld as a detective not to be trifled with. He is almost nightmarishly persistent when pursuing a case and a collar, and he isn't afraid to bring a perp in dead rather than alive. With enough lightning elemntal tattoos to summon bolts powerful enough to level buildings, he is a force to be reckoned with.
