Goliath Barbarian

A member of the Snake River Goliath tribe, Valin was raised like most other Goliath, in battle and bloodshed. He spent his youth fighting battles between the other Goliath clans for what little hospitable land there was to grow crops, raise animals and simply live as comfortably as possible. War is in their blood however and are often sought out as hired muscle, especially by the humans who in appearance look most like the Goliath, simply smaller. Yet this has not endeared his people to the other races, fighting their wars, spilling blood in their place. Their rustic and old fashioned, barbaric ways make others look down on them, not trust them. They fear what the Goliath may do and so often keep them at arms length, some towns and cities even outright banning them from most establishments.

Valin however, has a curious mind. As much as he loves fighting he also wishes to experience the world and so, he set out. Trouble of course follows him often. Be it bandits who want to try their luck or soldiers who think him up to no good. He makes a living as a mercenary when needed and hopes to find a way to settle down and change things for his people, he knows it will be difficult but at the same time he also knows the Goliath cannot keep living as they are.

He comes across as brutish at times but he has a good heart. He will kill anyone who wishes to try and kill him and will do so without any hesitation but he would also rather make friends where possible and is curious about the world.
