Aedgar Stannen

Quick to temper and with a less-than-graceful history, the lord of the warden is far from a perfect hero. The vicious Aedgar was seen as being too impulsive and unhinged to be fit for duties of the court and better suited to a life of saddle and sword. For perhaps this, or less obvious purposes, when the last king of the reach, his father, Fenvar Stannen found the perfect opportunity during the Valradic time of troubles. Aedgar spent his youth with a retinue of soldiers drawn from the youths of house Stannen, and campaigned as a mercenary commander in exchange for Valradic gold and silver, when the Empire inevitably collapsed and the turmoil that followed ensued, Aedgar found himself returning to an equally perplexing series of events and circumstances within the reach, with no clear ruler, there was no time for respite however as the houses banded together in desperation and narrowly halted a takeover by the northern kingdoms. Aedgar was implicated in the murder of his younger sibling soon after, likely because he would've made a better pawn for the house's retainers and he was banished, only to return 2 years later. The houses rattled sabers and the stage was set for a bold and ambitious leader to seize the reins.

When he isn't settling affairs on the homefront or contending with threats to his realm of the mortal and preternatural variety, Aedgar, invariably finds himself venturing across the realms for one reason or the other, courting allies and gaining enemies all the same, battles and quests bringing the promise of filling House Stannen's coffers and if not, then the lawless and wartorn realms always have some greater evil brewing in the shadows, conspiracies and sorcery, necessitating preventing power from falling into the wrong hands. The ashes of the old empire allowed for a new age of peril and high adventure, here shall kingmakers and heroes leave their mark upon the history of Tyranoth.
