Kamano Yomogi

Good golly gosh! Is that a tanuki I see?! Why yes, yes it is. A chubby one to boot! Altogether Kamano resembles a typical tanuki in size and shape, perhaps not the quintessential color scheme, however, as his fur is more ashy-gray brown(Aku-iro) than usual. When he has fur that is. He has three forms which he can switch between with minimal effort: human, tanukimimi (humanoid tanuki - tail and ears and possibly arms and legs) and anthromorph.

He has a plump build, not exactly tubby but definitely not skinny either. Most of his girth is carried in unusually wide hips, a thick, soft butt and his noticeably round belly. Slightly curled ash-brown hair just about meets his shoulders before terminating, atop which rests, between a pair of rounded triangular ears, a leaf from an Erman's birch tree. His eyes are bottle green and typically look out from behind a pair of horn-rimmed glasses. A jawline hardly worth mentioning and partly rounded cheeks without notable cheekbones give his face a slight hint of androgyny; furthermore his small Grecian nose and full lips add nary a bit of hard masculinity to his face.

Speaking with a mellow, mezzo soprano range voice, he has a little bit of an Asiatic accent that is hard to pin down, should he be speaking in English (or the common tongue of a setting) that is. When not toiling away in the kitchen--for when he does often the aroma of onions, ginger and garlic are undeniable--he carries with him a subtle sage-like fragrance. This is true for whichever of his main forms he is currently in, however, in anthro form the whole of his body is covered in fur a few shades darker than his hair, in addition to off-white fur at his belly that comes up to his jaw and black fur that resembles a pair of hands reaching up to cover his eyes.

To say he was a spoiled brat as a youth is not quite entirely accurate but neither is it entirely inaccurate, let's just say he was quite the mama's boy and was quick to anger. A trial in his budding adulthood, however, gave him more than enough time to think about his previous disposition. Wondering why he'd acted as he did Yomogi promised himself that if he made it through then he would surely change his ways. Humility and steadfastness are two very apt descriptors for the tanuki nowadays but of course nobody's perfect, and he may catch himself acting a little untoward at times.

Yomogi is capable of quite a variety of transformations, however he cannot shape-shift into a complex machine with many intricate moving parts. Anything he's personally touched is fair game, inanimate, animate, people, animals...you name it as long as he's had physical contact with it.

Thanks to his ability to configure magical talismans, that for the world resemble the leaf he is always seen wearing, he can also transform others into whatever shape they so choose; with the previously mentioned caveat.
