Alaric Decimus Riftwalker

Early Life(Birth-17): Raised by his mother, helped raise some of his innumerable siblings. Showed a considerable gift for numbers, and an unusual degree of self control and restraint for a son of his father. Educated by a series of tutors, did reasonably well. A citizen of the Deimonian Empire.

Early Mid-Life(17-47): Upon coming of age and being shoved out of the nest, he was willingly conscripted into the military of his homeland. Assigned to the 62nd Imperial Deimonian Shock Regiment. His magical abilities were measured, and he was found to have a modest talent with gravity-based sorcery. His soldiering was on the lower end of average, in no small part because of his narrow build in a formation that emphasized brute force and toughness. Took part in three campaigns, two crushed colonial uprisings, one conquest of a newly discovered civilization. Promoted in short order to supply officer, quartermaster, and finally offered a commission as a Lieutenant to become paymaster. Whatever he lacked in violent potential, he made up with a knack for asset management and an astounding lack of corruption regarding other people's property and what could be skimmed from it.

Middle-Mid-Life(47-100): Assigned to regimental headquarters, wasn't required to fight any longer. Decorated: 25-50-75 years service medals, Campaign Service Medals for Viridia, Lucius, and Karria. Imperial Order of Merit. Iron Star for Valor, 3rd class. Honorably mustered out when the Deimonian Government offered him a job as an Imperial Accountant for a number of high value holdings owned by Emperor Gabriel. He accepted.

Middle-Life(100-190): Performed his duties admirably, provided a number of additional plaudits and awards for his performance both saving the Emperor's Household money, and making it a good deal more. Nor did he ever rest on his laurels or do anything less than fixate on his job.

Just-Before-Now(197): His Imperial title was revoked, he was arrested, subjected to 200 public lashes, had most of his assets seized, and banished until such time as he either gets an Imperial Pardon, or he can pay a truly tremendous fine to the Empire. He was convinced to let someone he knew into one of the places he was managing, and said person caused exceptional levels of trouble, damage, and expense. (See: Dislikes)

Now: Wandering about with what he managed to salvage before being kicked out of his home country/dimension. Actively seeking a new place to establish himself.
