Nao Manabe

Nao had her quirk from birth and was unable to control it for the first few years of her life. Due to that, her teachers recommended that she have her vocal cords temporarily harbored in some way with surgery. She spoke with sign language until her last year of middle school, when the surgery was undone and she regained her voice.

To this day, she is still mildly unable to control her quirk, but gets frequent extra lessons from Present Mic to help her control it.
