Demon Queen Lilia

DISCLAIMER: this section is not a comprehensive list of all her abilities. By the way, queenie is supposed to be extremely strong, some might even say 'overpower'.

• Apex Being: Immune to most negative status effects (blindness, magic starvation, exhaustion... etc).
  
• The Royal Demon: Is a blood descendant of The First Demon, corruption creatures and corrupted creatures have the innate instinct to obey her.
  
• Corruption's Mistress: Naturally spreads the Corruption, adds extra effects to some of her abilities.
  
• Corruption's Call: Can invade the mind of a creature within her sight that has been tainted by the Corruption. To have the mind invaded is having a foreign voice, in this case Queen's voice, whisper intrusive thoughts.
  [ Corruption's Mistress ]: May charm/hypnotize corruption creatures and corrupted creatues.
  
• Overwhelming Presence: Has the ability to exert an extremely oppressive aura, creatures in her proximity might become paralyzed, immune to others' Overwhelming Presence.
  
• Syphon Pride: Can drain life or magic from any creature she comes in contact with, the process can be either painful or pleasurable, depends on her mood.
  
• Space Portals: Can open a pair of linked static space portals, anything that traverses a portal appears at the end of the portal it is linked with, can only open portals to places she has seen.
  [ Corruption's Mistress ]: May open portals anywhere on corrupted ground even if she has never seen the location, but can't open portals at all on hallowed ground.
  
• Optimized Portals: Can open an extremely high ammount of portals at the same time, the portals may vary in size with no penalty to their effect or the caster.
  
• Pocket Portals: Can open portals to a private pocket dimension, she usually uses it as a storage, a bag of holding without the bag part.
  
• Void Portals: Can open portals leading to The Void. The Void is a dimension of absolute nothingness, anything that enters The Void becomes nothingness as soon the portal closes. It's impossible to come back from The Void once the portal is closed.
  
• Gravity Mastery: Has the ability to manipulate gravity, either of a specific object or within an area, she can be quite creative with it.
  
• Absolute Magic Wielder: Has near unlimited magic power and has major magic proficencies in (almost) all basic and intermediate magic types, exceptions are Hallow, Faith and Healing. She is a huge nerd when it comes to magic.
  
• Magilocation: Allows her to always be aware of everything within 15m / 50ft with extreme precision, but only the outline and texture, the detection is hindered by obstacles and certain materials, cannot perceive light and colors through magilocation.
  [ Corruption's Mistress ]: The range is tripled on corrupted ground, but magilocation stops working on hallowed ground.
  
• Magic Perception: Can listen to the magic noise of creatures and objects within her sight, allowing her to know of their magic type affinity and magic power.

At first glance Lilia looks royal, majestic, commanding and imposing, someone you'd be afraid to look in the eyes and feel inclined to bow, but after exchaging few words you'd notice how casual she really is, charming, teasing, has a firm and enigmatic yet alluring and charismatic demeanor, but don't mistake it for friendliness or, even worse, respect; Queen is extremely prideful and arrogant, if someone dares to even imply to be even close to her level she will happyly show them their place, often not by direct force but by indirectly challenging them with words, driving them to openly challenge her or desist, usually the latter happens, but for the few brave or foolish enough to challeng her power a swift end is what awaits them: turns out the power to open Void portals and usage of Gravity magic is a quite efficent combination to dispose of even immortal creatures.

Queen is extremely well versed in magic, unlike what most might assume, it is not a special perk of being a Royal Demon her magic power might be but her skill isn't, she studied and experimented with the fabric of magic since she was stll a princess (more than six centuries of experience), her spells are hightly optimized and fine tuned, she doesn't waste even a single unit of magic resource, often with magic composition practises that are considered unsafe by modern magic users.
Her extensive magic knowledge and unhortodox practices has allowed her to use highly complex magic types without the need of a catalyst, like Space and Gravity magic, but the archivement she is the most proud of is Void magic, the Void magic type only has a single spell called "Void Portal" the effect is quite self explanatory: it opens a portal to The Void, The Void is a dimension of absolute nothingness, anything that enters The Void becomes nothingness as soon the portal closes, plus, it's impossible to come back from The Void once the portal is closed, as of now she seems to be the only one able to open void portals without the use of catalysts or scrolls.

Despite her near unlimited power she genuinely despises useless bloodshed and violence even more, but it's not because she is kind of heart, no, it's mostly a matter of efficency: killing involves risks and an irrecoverable cost of resouces while violence is simply too slow or uneffective as a tool to reach her goals, she'd rather coerce convince others to play along with her as long they offer some sort of value, she is extremely manipulative, when finding out what someone desires she will use it at her advantage. Lilia is cold and scheming, rarely overtaken by emotions, keeping a calm, casual, charming demeanor, but don't be mistaken, she does feel emotions and feelings but chooses to repress them and show them when the time is right.

Thanks to her charisma and belifs the Demon Realm under her rule has been thriving, with much less all out wars, making commercial connection with other states and even partially opening the borders to tourists.
Queen made a decree that, in simple terms, states: "Do not show hostility unless hostility is shown first", at first the majority of her subjects had an hard time adapting to the change, afterall the past Demon Monarchs were very belligerant, hostile and overall closed to foreigners, but as new generations of demons replaced the old ones they slowly became more and more accustomed to the decree and their queen's attitude towards other states, despite that there are still group of demons, even inside the Demon Realm that outright disrespect the decree and Queen.

Queen's inspiration is the classic super-villain-mastermind, she has what (in my opinion) makes for a great villain:
✅ Cold, Composed and Emotionless.
✅ Charming and Charismatic.
✅ An actual threat.
✅ Manipulator.
✅ Smart and Scheming.
✅ Recognized as "Evil" - Her title is "Demon Queen", generally not associated with "good".
✅PURPLE! (also my favourite color!... huh, it blends with the background).

But I put a minor Variadic Twist™ on her: if we gloss over on how she's basically a psycopath, we'd find out that queenie is a huge introvert, she learned how to be good with others and mantain relationships but she gets tired quickly in social contexts, in such occasions she's rather stick close to someone she knows (usually Melissa or Eirfel).

Another thing that I think is worth mentioning is how she has a "good" and kind facade, if someone were to go around the Demon Realm and ask the older demons how she is compared to her ancestors they'd found out that she has been the kindest and least belligerant of all, if we'd have to objectively analyze all the public actions she has taken as monarch we'd reach the conclusion that she isn't a cruel and oppressive tyrant but rather a fair and just monarch.

Why did you make her like that? isn't she supposed to be an antagonist?

I was inspired by a youtube video talking about "anti-villains" which is an archetype that performs morally good actions for malicious objectives, at first I wanted to go all-out for this archetype with her but I found it too restrictive and "villain with good facade because she needs to manipulate the public opinion" sounds so much better and believable!

Also I might tone down her intensity(malice, arrogance and lack of empathy) in some stories because I feel like she'd be very difficult to approach and be around, she's mostly designed to be the "final boss" rather than a "companion".
