Some years ago, when Cicuta was but a child, she lived in a quiet little place. A small village, a little town, on a peninsula, that had managed to stay out of the way of many. They weren't a rich town, but that being said they weren't a poor town either. The people were healthy, content, and seemed to be able to sustain themselves without too much outside help. The children as well were happy, and seemed to want for nothing, not knowing of the rich monetary societies that were outside of their own little village, they had no reason to want for more than what they had. That included little Cicuta.

However, as always, things change, and not always for the better. For her little town was discovered by a rather zealous group, using their religion as a reason for mounting an attack against the village. Now, they didn't just run the town over, make no mistake those who lived there put their lives on the line in an attempt to protect their way of life. Farmers turning into sword wielders, and apothecaries turning to witches as the clash between religion and religious freedom mounted. Unfortunately for this little town, religion won. Many of the towns elders, many of the adults were massacred in their attempted defense, while children were rounded up, and thrown into re-education camps, forced to learn the way of these zealots. Or be punished otherwise. Where did that leave Cicuta? Well, she, like a few of the other children, fled, they ran as they were told to do by the adults who held off the waves of attackers. She was one of the very few who made it out, one of the very few who watched as the city burned. Though tears stained her cheeks, her will wasn't broken. Vowing vengeance against those who destroyed her home... who destroyed her peoples dream.

Once the morning rose the next day, she made her way to the shore of the lagoon next to the peninsula only to find a few other children there. And, forming a pact the lot set off to find a way to pay those back who would destroy the lives of others without thought.
