  • Backstory

    Alyssa Lilian Conner was born 18 years ago on April 7th to Marie Nolan and Robert Conner who were teen parents. Her parents raised her along with help from Marie's mother, Nana Lily.

    Alyssa grew up for the first few years with loving parents that struggled but did their best. But when her parents moved out on their own and their personal troubles started, things kinda of crashed and burned.

    They divorced when she was 6 years old, and she was back and fourth between houses and parents every other weekend until she was 15 and decided she didn't want to do that anymore.

    She has a strained relationship with Robert who has 2 younger children with his second wife Candice, her step mother. Nathan (7) and Danielle (3). Because her father puts a lot of pressure on her to get along with Candice and take care of her siblings when she is over which is only once a month or so now. But he often calls and tries to get her to baby sit, and frequently verbally abuses her.

    Her relationship with her mother Marie isn't perfect because her mother occasionally criticizes her, but it's gotten better as she has gotten older.

    Alyssa has struggled with depression and anxiety since she was a child but was only officially diagnosed and began treatment at 14. She has self harm scars on her thighs from several years ago. She is on the Autism Spectrum but isn't officially diagnosed and is fairly unaware of this fact. Along side struggling with loud crowded places, new foods, and disliking change, she stims somewhat consistently through fidgeting with objects, chewing on pens, wiggling her hands/fingers, and clicking her tongue/teeth.
