Abilities: Racial Abilities- Vastros have an aura around them each with a different effect
depending on the age and level of vastro. They are invisible but can be controlled at will. In
Avina's case her's is pure pain and grief. The aura is thick like a miasma which comes to a
radius of 30 feet around her. It being invisible it has been known to choke those around her with
the effects or just make them really uncomfortable. It has been known to comes out when
feeding, in frenzy, periods of high stress, battles, or training. She can control it to be full radius
or like a second skin around her. Weaker beings are known to fall prey to the full effects of
having a choking feeling of pure grief and pain while more stronger beings just get a feeling of
eeriness from this aura.
Geomancy: Each vastro has control of a certain element and with practice they can become
masters of it over time. In Avina's case it is geomancy, (earth bending), she takes to it like a fish
to water. These abilities even have allowed her to develop something she calls "earth sight",
where she can hide her vision and take off her boots allowing her to feel the slightest vibrations
through the earth to get a clear picture in her head and enhance her speed and abilities. Of
course this is useless in water also becomes weaker in sand and mud and other loose minerals.
Advanced Geomancy: Through her centuries of life she has honed her abilities of geomancy to
create metal bending. This will allow her to bend any metal she is in contact with to her own will.
Of course she has to be in physical contact with the metal. Also if it is an unknown metal she
has not come in contact with she cannot bend it at all, it would require severe training and many
hours of study. The harder and thicker the metal, the more energy and time it takes for her to
use.
Illusions: With her gaze and instruments she can create complex illusions to subdue her target.
They can range from fear, sexual pleasures, mental and emotional pain, to nightmares if the
target is asleep. If the target cannot hear her then the spells are pointless. She has been known
to use her voice for simpler spells such as lullabies to calm young and those in need of it.
Banshee Screech: She can emit a loud screech to deafen her target for three hours and shatter
glass.
Gastro Acid: Her stomach acid is very corrosive and she can spit this like a cobra up to six feet
away.
Surface cling: She can climb and scuttle across earth surfaces like a lizard.
Speed: Speed 10x that of a human.
Super Strength: She can lift and move 10x her body weight.
Weapons: Left Metal hand- The hand itself is made of Damascus steel and is completely
workable. The first hidden blade is also Damascus steel which is 10 inches long in length and is
released with a flick of the hand upwards. The other 12 blades are hidden in compartments
around the bracer itself, all ranging in size from 6 inches to 13 inches. All of them are covered in
a different poison and can be called out individually or all at once when the times calls for it.
Throwing Knives: A simple set of throwing knives on her upper arm.
Blight Star: A broad sword with a six point star on the hilt, this is a normal looking sword until
there are six strikes given by this sword. With six strikes each of the gold points will light up and
when this happens a pulse wave will come from the sword itself and this has the force of getting
hit by a hit by a truck and will cause severe damage if embedded in the said target. This
technique can only be used once within a 24 hour period and will take time for the sword to
recharge when used.
Butcher: A machete like sword that is a simple sword with an elegant design.
Ocarina: She carries around a 12 hole black ocarina that is used for her bard spells.
Homeless: Her main bard weapon a special violin made of black oak, she can summon it at will
from a small little charm she carries on her person at all times. This item is bound to her and
those who try to lift it will not be able to no matter how strong. This enhances her bard abilities
and gives her that main power when it comes to her illusions.

Species Overview- The vastro lorde species is a superior undead zombie species with vampiric tendencies. They have been around since the dawn of time living in the realm known as the void where the gravity is 100x stronger than that on earth. Their world is where planets go to die and they are reborn. Among the realm it is piercing dark that no natural light pierces it. The vastro species has adapted to where their eyes can pierce this darkness allowing them to live in harmony with the realm. The species is not well known but every member is lethal and has the chance to kill and devour prey. In this codex we will discuss what makes a vastro a vastro.

Social Structure & Society- The vastro lorde species are a very matriarchal society where the
females pretty much are the strongest members of the species and where males if they are not strong enough are killed or treated badly. Think of a pack of hyenas. Power is the main concern with vastros when they breed. They will only breed with those they feel will produce strong
young. From birth the young are trained and tested, once given birth the female will separate the child and make it crawl to her for milk. If the child cannot make it then the child is devoured on the spot and the female will absorb the wasted energy and soul back into her person. They
will mate with other species and males and females go through this same process from birth. If the child has proven strong enough to get the first milk then the mother and father shall raise it through deadly training that could kill the child at any time. Females run the packs if the vastro family units are big enough, there will be an alpha male and female but the female has the final say when it comes to decisions in the pack. They can hold from ten to thirty members in a pack. Vastros can be born naturally or like regular zombies they can be turned through a process known as the “Black Awakening”.

Black Awakening- This ritual can be done by any vastro over a thousand years old. First step is to kill the subject. Second, if the target is nothing but bones, the bones must be mended back together with bone craft. Third, the body must be given organs and such through flesh craft.
Four, blood must be given from the sire to the fledgling in order for this to work. Fifth, the sire must give a small chunk of their soul and mix it with the soul of the target or mix it with a new soul if there was not one to begin with. Finally, after the steps above are done the sire must bite the subject to complete the necromancy to bring the target back as a vastro lorde.

Ranking- The vastros tell each others ranks by the horns, their horns are out in all forms they have but several choose to hide with a simple glamour or illusion spell. The horns of higher up
vastros both male and female, are decorated with chains, jewelry, flowers, etc. The more decorated the horns the higher up in the order.

Horns- Horns to a vastro are very sensitive to touch, this is because of the nerves they hide and such. Every vastro has horns of some kind and they come in many shapes and colors as well. Every fall the horns will fall off like a deer on earth and regrow healthier and stronger the next season in spring. The horns also play a key role in mating as well.

Dragon Form- Dragon forms are the most common thing you will see vastros in when they are in the void since there is not much ground in the void realm. There are floating islands but they will use the dragon form mostly. They come in many shapes and sizes and from birth they can
shift into dragon forms and will come with a single breath ability which can be mostly any element. Along with using the claw and teeth dragon forms are important to mating season as
well.

Human Form- Human form the horns will be apparent as well but like before most vastro will hide them in allowance to be around normal people. Of course in the human form the vastro can
be spotted by the odd color eyes, shark like teeth, long tongues, sharp claws. The human form can be any age and will age with time but will mostly stop aging around the thirties. Their looks will stop aging there but some rare cages vastro can appear older as they continue to age.

Animal Form- Animal forms are another common trait you will see in the vastro species. The males are known to turn into only felines while the females get canine forms. They appear as normal animals on earth except for the eyes and teeth. Their pelts can be different colors
depending on their age as well. They do not get any special abilities in these form and normally fight tooth and claw like normal animals.

Mating Rituals- In the spring time where their horns regrow this is when females will go into heat. Vastro tend to gather in large groups in a variety of ages to gather and choose mates. Even vastro with different species mates will gather. Once gathered the males and females will
fight over mates in their dragon forms. Using their horns to show strength like deer. If a horn is lost in battle that vastro will lose the right that season to mate with someone since it is a mark of
weakness. Vastros only mate with powerful beings so this is a great dishonor among them. When the fighting has stopped and a male wants to show a female he wants to mate he will use
his dragon form to show great aerial displays showing off his body and power to try and catch her attention. If the female wishes to accept him as a mate then she will join him in the dance
which can be a sight to see. If the vastros potential mate does not have a dragon form then they can show their strength by presenting large prey to the potential vastro or treasures to decoratethe horns of a vastro.

Relationships- Both male and female vastros are known to have multiple and marry a lot of mates normally staying around five mates they keep around any marry. When it comes to
marriage there is nothing hard when is comes to that except that they would have to have a deep bond with the vastro and proven to have strong genes for the vastro to accept their marriage proposal. Both parents will raise the children and will protect them with their life, mates
of vastro are known to accept the trait of the vastro eating the child if they are not strong enough.

Racial Abilities- The most common ability is earth bending where the vastro will take to earth like fish to water. More advanced vastros can do metal bending if they already have earth bending. Along with the ability to detect minerals with the earth bending is common as well.
Vastro have been known to be attuned to different elements like fire and water as well.

Banshee Scream: A piercing scream that will deafen a target for five minutes.
Necromancy: All vastro have the ability to raise the dead to some degree. Vastro over a thousand can perform the Black Awakening once taught by another older vastro.

Stomach Acid- The stomach acid of a vastro is very corrosive and can be sprayed up to a foot away when regurgitated.

Artifact- When a vastro is ten years of age they will travel back to the void and search for their artifact. This object is connected with their soul and is a special weapon that they will use naturally. It can be anything from a weapon to a strange object like a spoon. Each artifact comes
with special abilities that will gain a total of one to six abilities only. Some known are a violin, scythe, flute, water pouch, amulet, etc. Only the vastro the artifact is connected with can use the said item.

Diet- Running an undead body is hard work and vastros will eat just about anything. They will require to drink blood, eat souls, and flesh but there have been some cases where a vastro will
eat just plant life and minerals instead of the more carnivore approach and be just as powerful as their cousins. Vastro can hunt in any form and whichever form they choose to stay in the most they will have to hunt to maintain that form. They can work in packs where the females will
eat first and males second or they can be solo hunters like most choose to do. When a vastro becomes too hungry or stressed they will enter a blind frenzy state where they will hunt and destroy until they have calmed down or have consumed enough to calm their hunger and rage. The longest frenzy measured so far had been three months.
