Growing up with both parents - and a big brother. Parents being busy at jobs as business people, yet still amazing parents, taking along their children to meetings and job interviews, till they were old enough to go to school. Archie always being closest with their dad, and Madison with their mother. Having a tough school life. Struggling with weight and bullying for years - way too many. People commenting her body, her weight, anything they could get away with. Losing the confidence she had learned from home, where she would always get told she was pretty, and a good daughter. In the end the bullying affected her absence, in time believing in what her class mates said about her. She was a joke. A punchball, usually used by the rich kids that never got their own affection from home. Seeing herself differently, wearing bigger clothes, never seeing that pretty girl her parents had always told her that she was. And then the tragedy came. A car accident. She was only 10 years old when all that changed. The siblings moving in with their uncle, who got transferred the family's company. Madison never felt at home there. Meanwhile Archie didn’t seen the be affected by the death of their parents, the feelings were all out on Madison. Losing her only rock in the face of their mother, the only person that would make her keep the tiny bit of confidence she had left. And it got worse. The bullying never stopped, not even after the tragedy. Losing all control of her life, developing bulimia. If she could not control her own fate or reputation, she could at least control her weight. Never being an overweight person, that made it even worse. She just believed in what they told her. She suffered from the disorder for 8 years until she was 19, her second year into college. It will always stay with her, having a complicated relationship with food and will sometimes relapse and feel ugly and wrong when looking in the mirror. Moving in with her brother when he turned 18, now she hasn’t seen him in nearly 3 years. Saying no, if asked the question: ‘’Do you have any family?’’. Though her mind is dark and twisted, Madison is a fantastic person with an adventurous craving, wanting to go on a roadtrip at 3am? She will be ready. Easy to make smile, and a loyal friend - she has never had lots of them. Extremely clumsy, something that doesn’t really fit the highly associated surname of hers. She doesn’t prefer to go in expensive dresses or Cartier jewelry like her brother. Changing her lifestyle completely, growing up in the upper class, but since losing contact with her brother, she doesn’t have a penny. Working full time in a cinema, a low paid job, but it pays the bills. Never really believed in ‘’the one’’, having a twisted mind on love. Dating, having boyfriends, often ending up breaking their hearts - she doesn’t feel ‘’enough’’. Fearing she is not capable of loving after all the pain she has been put through. |
