Tansy Kaladin

Before she joined the Watchers, Tansy was a soldier in the army of a human king. Not unheard of in her region, there'd been inter-species mixing in settlements on various borders for some time now. One day the army was called to war against a foreign army. Everyone expected it would be a routine expulsion of an enemy force, but they were very, very wrong. The enemy had assistance from creatures not of the mortal realms, and it was a dark battle. Tansy lost all those in her battalion and still fought on through the pain and fear of loss, until none remained in her way. The Watchers took notice of her efforts and as she lay wounded on the battlefield, ready to succumb to her wounds, a few came to her aid. They stabilized her, healed her, and offered her a place in their order. In that moment, Tansy accepted, unaware of the furthered pain such an oath would bring. Since then she has been a wanderer, always on call to the order to assist in battles with supernatural or extraplanar beings. She has watched more colleagues fall since then, and has grown calloused to the making of friends.
