D'neir Stormwood

(Accross infinite timelines and infinite universes, the souls of numerous beings can be linked back to an unknown apex known as "Tav")

D'neir lived a less than modest life growing up in Baldur's Gate. His father was always off working, providing money for him and his mother to live, but alas, his mother suffered from a condition that proved to be expensive, Alcoholism. Once D'neir was old enough to function by himself, his mother hardly knew a moment sober. By the age of two, he was more familiar with the taste of mead than his own mother's milk. While his mother never abused D'neir in her drunken stupor, however, due to being passed out or preoccupied, D'neir was often left unattended, which would lead to him exploring the streets and alleys of the city of Baldur's Gate, and develop a pension for picking pockets and locks.

    At the age of fourteen, he left into the city while his mother was passed out in the living room and began his criminal career. He would quickly emass a small fortune by stealing gold and riches from the city's upper class at night, and working odd jobs around the city as a form of money laundering to keep the guard off his back, as well as netting him more gold for the coffers. 

   Over the course of his criminal career, he would make the best of friends, and and suffered the worst betrayals. The betrayal that stung him the most was at the hands of a man who he called a best friend during what was almost an intimate moment, turned to an attempted murder. D'neir did manage to gain the killing blow on his former best friend. However, his face and psyche were forever scared. This encounter, along with multiple failed relationships and hookups, would cause him to attempt to burn away his intimate and romantic side. (To little success he'd learn after catching himself reciprocating Astarion's Flirting over their the early parts of their adventure)

   He would continue his criminal acts until he was abducted by the Mind Flayers and infected with one of their tadpoles.
