Baruch Bishop

A shorter man of a stout but strong build, Baruch Bishop has a skin tone that could be called a Ruddy Lavender, with his complexion swarthy from traveling and working under the sun. His slicked back, storm blue hair is hidden under a large cowboy hat, black and worn from years of wear and tear. His eyes, though lightly colored lavender, hold the same mercy as lightning striking the ground. Large, round glasses that have been likened to the ones librarians wear are held around his neck by brightly bejeweled eyeglass chains, hanging down to a chin covered in a light stubble, facial hair otherwise not growing or growing weakly across the rest of his face. A vicious scar, a permanent scowl, and the look of total hatred mars his otherwise handsome face.

While traveling, between jobs, and generally at rest, he wears a simple brown tunic with a long V-neck, showing off a soft and ample chest covered in a fine dusting of the same stormy blue hair. His tunic sleeves are rolled up to his elbows, and show off his arm hair. Loose brown trousers and worn boots complete the outfit, although he's never far from a weapon in case of trouble.

On a job, he wears a white tunic underneath a leather vest that protects his torso. A leather and oilcloth duster would give additional protection, along with gunslinger gloves -gloves with the pointer finger and thumbs left uncovered- to protect his hands. His trousers are tighter, though still made of cotton, and are covered by leather chaps. His boots are made of hardened leather that go up to his mid-calf, and spurs that tuck into his heel; he can stomp on the heel to uncover them and use them as a weapon.

Always worn is an old, patchworked red scarf around his neck. Along with his glasses and glasses chain, one would always be able to recognize Baruch by his scarf.

When he was younger, Baruch was an earnest and polite boy, inquisitive about the world. He would eagerly learn anything that was set in front of him, and sought to please his believed adopted family. Although it was quite obvious that he loved to physically work and was quite strong, he was very gentle with his family and the animals under his care. Despite being the youngest, he would often be tasked with watching over his sisters, keeping them from harm and always running to Ira or his parents if anything went wrong or if anyone broke the rules.

After that night, however, he started becoming more and more hateful and bitter about the world. He closed himself off and let no one in, save Ira, who he saw as the only person he could trust. Ira tried to shift him away from it, but he could never truly stem the tide of darkness growing within Baruch. When Ira died, it pushed him over the edge, and now he enjoys killing and hurting people when he hunts them down. Dead or Alive bounties always end up with the bounty being dead, and Alive Only bounties saw the poor soul nearly dead. He has no qualms about who he kills, but owing to his own strange set of morals, he will never harm a child or a pregnant person. If a child is involved, he will do what he can to prevent harming them, but he doesn't care if he scars them. He would encourage them to hunt him down and kill him like he killed their parents, and has done so on numerous occasions, fostering the same sort of rage and hatred he has.

He is angry, hateful, mistrustful, and would rather kill you than get to know you. He has an extremely short-fuse, wanting to be left alone, and any little thing can set him off. The best way to make him angry is to mention his height; he is very sensitive about how short he is, and will claim to be an even five foot, when in reality he is only four foot, nine inches. The distinction is everything to him.

If someone did manage to pierce his outer shell and really get to know him, he would be a very loyal and caring person. Under all of that black rage and dark vengeance is a very sweet and tender-hearted man, desperate to make a connection to ease the wounds of his past. He's very teasing and playful, prone to laughter and fond looks. He would be shy and submissive with lovers, trying to do whatever he could to please them. Extremely devoted and prone to taking the weight of his loved ones on his shoulders, along with his own feelings. He doesn't believe himself worthy of any sort of redemption, and he would rather die by the sword or bullet of a child he had forced to lose everything. He's resigned himself to damnation, and would welcome any sort of relief from the constant pain he's in.

He treats animals -namely Dandelion, his beloved horse, Poppy, the fox cub he adopted, and Thistle, a crow he rescued- extremely well, making sure they are fed and cared for. The only time he smiles with any sort of genuine happiness is when he is with his animals, and he can be distracted by any animal that comes his way. He never gets mad with animals, even when they attack him; he considers them pure and without any malice in their hearts, unlike people.
