Gillis

Gilly gets his eccentric ways straight from the source: his parents. They weren't necessarily pagan, but definitely hippy free-spirit types. They accept him just how he is and tell him not to listen to people who think he's weird or think he holds strange - or even demonic - beliefs.

He started seeing ghosts from a young age, a difficult adjustment, but as he grew up he told himself it was a blessing. He can help these people where no one else can, that's the greatest honor...he finds them frightening though. Their appearances can be ghastly, they can be angry or even violent, but he tried - and tries - not to be judgy.

(author's note: this next part happens from late high school (16-17) into adulthood)
His first and last boyfriend to date also described himself as a pagan, but he was much...darker. Things were bad there, he doesn't like to dwell on it, and Gillis believes to this day that he placed some kind of curse on him when Gill broke things off with him. (author's note: this isn't confirmed, could honestly just be in his head)

He's...content with the way things are now. He has a good life. Not what he wants, but that doesn't mean it's bad! Beggars can't be choosers
