Thorram is a veteran member of the Companions in Skyrim. Leaving his home, and the dull life of a farmer's son behind, he struck out into the world seeking glory and fame like his grandfather before him. He sought out the Companions in Jorrvaskr, spoke with Kodlak Whitemane, and was accepted after proving his worth in battle. His deeds have brought honor on him and his peers since.

Thorram is a dreamer and always has been; he fancies himself partaking of quests like Ysgrammor and the Five hundred did in ages long past, though so far his glories have been of the more local variety. A bounty on a bandit, recovering stolen property, collecting debts... these pay his bills and allow him to sharpen his skills, but they're not the tasks of heroes. He craves recognition and seeks out every opportunity to pursue tasks which might afford it, a trait which can lead him into trouble if he's not careful. He's already had more than one run-in with the Imperials and Thalmor. Perhaps Ulfric Stormcloak's words bear closer listening...

Like many of the Companions, Thorram possesses the Beast Blood, and is a newer member of the Circle. He contracted lycanthropy during a battle against the Silver Hand, when a captive werewolf attacked him. He slew the beast but not before it spread its infection to him. Upon Aela and Skjor discovering this, in tandem with his prior deeds, they brought him in to the Circle.

For now his destiny will be sought on the road, chasing adventure, and seeking worthwhile companions to share in the spoils of victory.

OOC Note: Thorram's base setting and details are from the Skyrim game, set in the world of Tamriel, as part of the Elder Scrolls franchise. Nothing precludes injecting him into another fantasy realm, however. I'm happy to modify him to suit other RP's as needed though I'd prefer to remain in the realm of Medieval-ish fantasy for him.

Thorram can be hurt, seriously injured, or killed as part of an RP. He enjoys no special Gary Stu position in his world that prevents him from being infringed upon. I can do long or short term RP with him, be it a one-off meeting, a fling, or a long term adventure/romance. Though Thorram is a fictional creation, I strive to write realistically within the context of his setting.

I consider intimate scenes an important and enjoyable part of an RP and prefer to write them out without fading to black. If you don't wish to write them out, I can adjust, but please let me know ahead of time so I don't make you uncomfortable on accident. I prefer some buildup before sexual encounters, unless it's a one-off specifically for that purpose, in which case I appreciate a modicum of plot to justify the pairing. I'm willing to hear out different kinks but may not agree to participate in them. No bathroom kinks of any kind.

Anonymous characters are considered on a case-by-case basis. If the character profile looks like it was put together in five minutes, I'm going to decline. A well-designed profile will almost always be accepted.

If you want to end an RP, let me know. There's no hard feelings or wounded pride on my part. We may write ourselves into a corner or find the characters aren't compatible. It happens to the best of us. Let's laugh it off, shake internet hands, and end the RP amiably. I won't hound you for posts; if more than a week passes without a reply, I'll archive the RP. I'm ghost-friendly and when you return, if you wish to continue, just send me a message or post to our RP.

Common sense non-consent is fine with Thorram. Keep the RP flowing within the bounds of courtesy. Touching his arm is fine, saying you instantly chop his head off with a silver axe is rude. Bad things can happen to Thorram during a story but I prefer to be the one who posts it, unless I specifically ask you to do so.

If you have any specific triggers, needs, wants, taboos, or other pertinent information you need a partner to know when they RP with you, it's beholden on you to inform me of it. I can't avoid what I'm unaware of as being an issue for you. If it's your issue, it's your responsibility to let others know about it. If you have a phobia of wolves or swords, for instance, Thorram is not the character for you.

Desperation on the River
While sheltering in an isolated river town during their travels, our characters learn that the town is in dire straits. Run by a retired adventurer, the town has long been plagued by a tribe of giants that lives on the far side of the river. A week ago, the giants raided the town and kidnapped several children; in retaliation, the townsfolk attacked the giants and slew several of them—including the chieftain’s daughter. The children were rescued, but the giants have sworn a blood oath to destroy the town and kill the inhabitants. The mayor has tangled with giants in the past, and knows some lore about their rituals and tactics; he estimates that the giants will strike in roughly a week. On behalf of the town, the mayor implores our characters to aid them — without the our help, the townsfolk will be forced to flee their homes for good and there's no time to seek the aid of the local ruler.

Another Forty Five Miles To Go...
The town is abuzz with the news that a dangerous bandit was captured — a bandit with many loyal followers who have vowed to free him. Nervous townspeople want the bandit held in a more secure facility, but can’t find anyone willing to escort him to one — not even as far as the neighboring town. The area boasts only two incapable guards and it is understood that the bandit cannot be moved without a more capable force. A sizable reward is offered for help in escorting the prisoner.

Gone
Thorram has returned to his hometown after an extended time away. When he arrives he notices that one of the outlying farms has been abandoned. Farming implements are scattered on the ground, doors have been left open, and furniture is overturned. There are signs of a struggle as the characters investigate further; blood on the ground, over-turned carts in the center of town. What happened?

Love, But Not So True
The wife of a local jarl has been caught having an affair with another man, and the jarl throws them both in prison to await their execution. The man's brother uses a magic ritual to try to break them out, and instead winds up releasing all of the prisoners into the city’s sewer system - an ancient maze of monster-inhabited tunnels. When the jarl finds out, he relents in his anger and hires our characters to track down his wife and as many of the prisoners as they can.

Preventing a Duel
Two young lads of noble birth are trying desperately to back out of a publicly declared duel, but the townsfolk are too excited about the prospect of a fight to let them withdraw. Our characters will find that people are eager to gossip about the origins of the dispute, but that no two stories are alike. The local crier is anxious to uncover the truth, driven to do so either by a dedication to honest reporting, the desire further a career, the ability use the information as blackmail, or a combination thereof. To that end, the crier is covertly hiring people to investigate the situation.
