History
Trejú was born some time during the 14th century in Spain to a human mother and a vampire father. More specifically when or where she doesn't remember. Her childhood was spend traveling Spain with her family, settling down in different cities for a couple of weeks to months to earn a living. She was a middle child, having both an older and a younger brother.
Unlike her brother, Trejú wasn't 'allowed' into the family business of hunting full blooded vampires. She didn't possess her brothers' affinity for magic, making her a weaker opponent and therefor more of a liability than anything in the eyes of her father. Eventually, however, she managed to convince her older brother into tutoring her.
Her mother, name long forgotten, passed away of old age eventually. Trejú and her brothers had become frozen pictures in time just as their father. Trejú remembers very little of her time with her mother or how she felt after her death. The world was changing around her and what remained of her family and eventually they all parted ways. Trejú traveled on her own, able to make a name for herself despite her lack of magical abilities.
Despite having the odds against her, Trejú managed to outlive both her father and younger brother before the 19th century. She stayed on the family's path, and while she doesn't consider herself that much of a hunter once the 21st century hit, she still interferes when things spiral out of control.
Personality
For a vampire hunter, Trejú is surprisingly diplomatic. She understands that the world isn't black and white, and that some things have to die for others to live. It reflects in her way of hunting; if it's possible to find a peaceful compromise, she will aim for that. She has before been called too human, and perhaps it is true, but she views it as an advantage rather than a flaw. She knows that down the line, it's very little that separates her from feral vampires if she is pushed to the limit.
She is stubborn, determined and dedicated to her craft. She takes pride in what she does, and she does it well. Lacking her brother's affinity for magic, Trejú has become very resourceful in her way of hunting. She favors crafting her own little gadgets and whatnot to help her hunting. It has inspired a more creative side of her, trying to think of ways to improve the weaponry she already possesses.
Trejú possesses a natural curiosity towards the world around her. One can almost not help it at her age and having already seen so much change. She enjoys learning new things and taking on new skills. She is not cynical towards the way the world is evolving but surprisingly optimistic. A lot of things have changed for the better in her opinion.
