Enhanced Speed & Strength
Vampires have increased speed and strength that they can utilize without tiring, as long as they are not starving. Enhanced Healing
Vampires are resistant to physical injury. On the rare instance where they are hurt, they will quickly recover, as long as they are not starving. Sunlight/Fire
While vampires can be exposed to sunlight for very short periods of time, extended exposure will cause immense burning and, eventually, permanent death as they burst into flames. Alternatively, fire will not harm them. Magic
Magic can harm a vampire, but not otherwise kill them unless used as a tool for another killing method. |
Holy Water/Holy Ground
In order for holy water to burn a vampire, it must be sanctified by a ‘pure being’. This primarily references angels, but can also theoretically include a virginal human who has sincerely repented their sins and been personally blessed by an angel. Weapons that contain holy water matching this description will also inflict damage. Holy ground is anywhere that has been touched by God’s true presence. These are extremely rare, and do not include the majority of churches. Some examples would be Mount Sinai and Solomon’s Temple. A vampire cannot enter holy ground and to do so would immediately kill them. Enhanced Senses
Vampires have beyond perfect senses. They can see in microscopic detail, hear from miles away, smell from even further. Decapitation
Decapitation works to kill a vampire, though this can only be achieved by another supernatural creature, as the amount of strength it would take is far more than that of a human or any human machinery. Stake
A stake to the heart will paralyze a vampire, but will not kill them unless that stake has been submerged in holy water beforehand. |
Temperature Blindness
Vampires don’t feel temperature. Their skin is colder than ice to a human, but to them feels no different than touching boiling water. Starvation
Vampires require the consumption of blood to survive. To go without blood would cause starvation, lead to a rapid degeneration of their speed and strength, and eventually result in permanent death. Fangs
Vampires rely on their fangs to produce venom. While ripping out a vampire’s fangs is beyond difficult, it’s not impossible. If a vampire were to lose their fangs, they would be unable to paralyze their victims before draining them, also meaning they would be unable to change them. It would be an excruciating process. Sleep
Vampires do not require sleep. |
