The Rivalry of Corea Molux and Arabek

The rivalry dates all the way back to the Royal Period. The people of Corea Molux strongly disliked the fact that Arabek had attacked the Traditionals, as Corea Molux doesn’t believe that jumping into a fruitless war was a good idea. However, the true rivalry didn’t begin until 1332 when the Arabeks stormed Corea Molux followed by angry Traditionals, dragging them into the war. Corea Molux did so reluctantly, but scorned Arabek for putting them in such a position. The two kingdoms were enemies ever since.

Things only got worse once the Seastar Period began. As everyone created ships and their own fleets, Arabek took this opportunity to attack Corea Molux. The attack was ordered by the king, King Hussan Arcaze, who held a grudge against the king of Corea Molux, King Ulysses Willke, due to him breaking off their trade.

The war of Corea Molux/ Arabek had begun, and even as Prince Solomon Arcaze took the throne and so did Prince Bronco Willke, it continued. King Solomon became known as ‘The Golden King’ because he sent an army of thieves to steal gold and jewels from Corea Molux to show King Willke that since the trade deals were off, he had the ability to resort to thievery to get what he wanted from him.


Seastar Period (c.1520- 1572) - KC vs. Arabek 1

The Seastar Period marks the exploration of the sea and the building of armadas and fleets. It also is when the start of the Corea Molux/Arabek War began. They had been rivals for years, but as the ships were built, Arabek attacked Corea Molux and the war began.

The war ended, Corea Molux the victor, on March 22, 1572.

Aftermath Period (c.1572-1617) - KC vs. Arabek 2

After the Corea Molux/Arabek War ended (crowning Corea Molux the victor), Arabek fell silent. The prince of Arabek, Prince Montrier Arcaze (the result of an affair between King Solomon and a lady once married to a late lord of Arabek) demanded that he be given control of Arabek to get back at Corea Molux and take over their land. King Solomon refused his son’s request, turning him away with the words, “I am not so stuck-up to try again so soon after the conclusion of the war. You shall not be either. In time, my son, you will be king, and you may do as you please, but for now, your existence is becoming a burden.” King Solomon spoke clearly that he would not start another war in his lifetime. Angry with his father, Prince Montrier left the palace in Arabek North to go to Arabek South instead. He gathered warriors there, however, among this legion that Montrier was creating was a traitor. The traitor’s name was Alacai Arvon, a man from Basin, Yellian. During the Corea Molux/Arabek War, Yellian was in an alliance towards Corea Molux, and Alacai Arvon ventured to Corea Molux to inform them about Prince Montrier trying to start another war. By 1580, war broke out once more between the rival countries, but North Arabek and King Solomon refused to be a part of it. During the in-between time before the second Corea Molux/Arabek War, Montrier was training his own army.

In 1592, King Solomon died. North Arabek, as he wished, remained out of the war, and he only died of old age - some say he died at 81, some say 83. His last words were allegedly “There’s not much time”. No one really thought about those words until the war ended.

By 1600, the majority of Kuuj Coer was pulled into this war, and in 1617, Montrier was killed by a man from Kashig, titled Jerian the Merciful (25 at the time), who took the throne of Arabek, renaming the notorious country Jerram. The towns within once-Arabek remained the same, but New Arabek was renamed to Lionar.
