EARLY LIFE
radio's home is a dystopian, populated city with advanced, not yet commercial technology. he grew up in an apartment with both parents, going to school normally in a lower-class area. his home city developed a resistance to the higher corporates, radio often witnessing protests and discovering himself through observing them, admiring their fashion and ideals.

HIGHSCHOOL/BEYOND
radio never often talked to others, though he had a group that ultimately adopted him. this group, however, wanted to do dangerous teenage shit, like break into abandoned buildings. radio was pressured into doing something they deemed cool; whether it be outrunning cops, or going into an abandoned place alone.

radio ultimately chose the latter and went into an old radioactive waste site on the outskirts of the city. given this place was not looked after, the radiation seeped out and damaged radio's very DNA. he was physically okay, but the moment his parents found out, he was rushed to the hospital to be looked at for cancer and the like.

that incident, the regular blood tests, the royal scolding from his parents, made radio deeply annoyed with his "friends", thinking them the cause for him getting irradiated. this festering anger resulted in him lashing out at them months after the incident, injuring one of the group.

AFTER/NOW
radio now lives on his own, having decided to weaponize his tail and tie a knife to it. maybe it's for the aesthetic, maybe its because his city is such a shitty place. who knows. he's deeply afraid of legal repercussions from trespassing into buildings, yet still does it for the thrill.

TLDR cat thing is bullied into going into a radioactive zone and gets hit with the scenecore ray
