  • Age Requirements
    • The Blackwood is an adult-themed dream, featuring mature content and situations. All players must be at least eighteen years old (18+). There are no exceptions to this rule, in accordance with Furcadia/Dragon's Eye Productions' Rules and Conduct policy. If you are found to be underage or if your age is questionable, you will be banned and removed from the dream, including any related websites and logs listing your age.

      In line with Furcadia/Dragon's Eye Productions' Rules and Conduct policy, characters must be described and depicted as being at least eighteen years old in all media linked to the dream, including character websites and image galleries.

    Courtesy, Respect, and Authority
    • Respect and courtesy are strongly encouraged when interacting with other players in Blackwood, both IC and OOC.[/font]
    • Staff authority must be respected at all times. Please avoid arguing with staff members, as they are here to maintain the dream's continuity. If you have a concern about a staff member, please address it with the dream's OOC staff.

    Harassment and The Silence Rule
    • There will be zero discrimination and intolerance permitted within the group which includes but is not limited to; Cyberbullying, emotional abuse, sexual harassment, and offensive material. Bias towards ethnicity, sexual orientation, religion, and/ or beliefs are also not tolerated.
      If a situation escalates beyond what can be managed by the silence rule, please reach out to Furcadia's guardians at guardians@furcadia.com.

    Continuity
    • Any actions with significant or public impact, such as mass destruction or the killing of NPCs, must be approved by staff. Unapproved major actions will be ignored.[/font]
    • Characters must align with Blackwood's continuity to participate in public scenes. If your character does not meet the acceptable character creation guidelines, you may be asked to move to the OOC room or a private area.
  • Problems, Ejection, and Banishment
    • All interactions with players conducted by OOC staff in any official or representative capacity are logged. These interaction logs are archived and accessible only to OOC staff and management, following strict privacy guidelines and restrictions.
    • If you are ejected or banned, a staff member will inform you and provide a reason. Blackwood reserves the right to eject or banish any character or player for any reason.

    Consent
    • Consent is the default rule in Blackwood. This means you have control over what happens to your character. You are not required to roleplay with anyone or participate in situations you are uncomfortable with. It is encouraged to whisper your RP partner(s) to seek permission before taking significant actions. Good communication is key.
    • While Blackwood upholds the consent rule, it also recognizes that IC actions have IC consequences. For example, if your character kills an NPC guard, they should expect to face serious repercussions.
    • Staff may need to take IC actions against your character to maintain continuity. Such actions should be discussed privately through whispers to avoid unnecessary conflict.
    • God-modding, where a character is portrayed as having limitless abilities or being entirely invincible, is strongly discouraged and not allowed. It undermines fair play and a positive roleplaying environment.
    • Auto-hitting, where you post as though your action against another character is automatically successful without allowing for a realistic response, is not allowed. It is recommended to whisper your RP partner(s) to get permission before taking significant actions. Once again, communication is crucial.

    Events

    • Lockdown lifted

      The lockdown has been lifted. Patrons are advised to exercise caution when going beyond the gates, however, the walls and compound proper continue to show a heavier presence of both the normal and elite guard. Walls and buildings now strategically bear notices explicitly forbidding the use of offensive magic, explosives, or other questionable methods of potential destruction. Violators of this will be issued heavy fines, imprisonment, or exile beyond the gates.

    • Lockdown

      Once more the gates would be shut and barred with orders of no one leaving or entering except on official company business! A heavy presence of unusual-looking guards would be seen prowling the walls and inside the compound proper. 'Faceless' masks gave them an unnerving presence and patrons would be well-advised to stay clear of this so called 'Elite' Contingent. Staff and patrons alike would note the obvious ruined remains of the Enchanting forge still smoldering, though, in a few hours time, the work of the masked Guards would have most of the magical energies contained and dispersed. There were still hastily erected signs of "Danger" posted around the forge area of the market, as well as more posting of guards, both of the normal and masked varieties, all of whom seemed to be on edge.

    • Time stop

      Would note. That all residents of Blackwood and have a claim upon the territory. Would sense a lost moment of time. A sense of the world having stopped for the barest of second before it restarted. What this could mean.. who knew only time would tell.

    • Detained

      While there have been whispers and rumors afoot about the going on for the past few days. Word has come down that patrons are being detained from leaving Talperain Territory

    • Pile of half eaten limbs found

      Returning from a patrol Fred, the guard not the liver, was over heard about an observation up near one of the Northern Cave that skirted the mines and Talperian Company's property. half way up the trail there was a pile of half eaten limbs and various body parts piled just where the Company's territory parted. Sorted and stacked, not odd but the guard couldn't distinguish if human or animal made up the various parts. He was also seen ensuring that Betsy was still at the bar.
