Thanks to her being an orphan, her growth has been stunted compared to other kids her age.

Upon first being found she's on the shorter side and is also badly malnourished. With a proper diet she fills out to a regular weight, although she'll remain shorter than her peers she uses this to her advantage and when she begins practicing martial arts, she'll focus on speed and agility over all else.


Skin

Normally pale she has no visible blemishes or scarring save for a beauty mark underneath the corner of her left eye.

Upon first being found her skin will show some irritation and remnants of being burned due to exposure of either the cold, or the sun. After being sheltered for some time her wounds will heal without leftover damage, and her skin will gain a healthy flush.


Hair

Chocolate brown. Silky in texture it's pin-straight and rarely holds style. Normally it's kept long with straight-cut bangs, however upon first being found her hair would be ragged. Knotted and tangled up in itself and jaggedly cut into a bob.


Eyes

An identical brown to her hair. In certain lighting they appear a lighter honey shade. She has large, expressive eyes. Usually they're always glancing around and are rarely fixated on just one thing.

History

Born into a noble family, Bai Xueguo did not know want. She was raised as an only child (as far as she knew) and thanks to their family status she was allowed to to attend school even though she was a girl. Bai Xueguo showed promise, she was a bright child. Smart and reliable. Everything came crashing down when she was just seven. The family was holding a celebration. She did not know what for, she'd been sent to bed. She was too young to partake in the festivities and it was too late in the night.

The family had lit off fireworks. Then everything came burning down. Literally. A firework misfired and caused an explosion, igniting the dry vegetation and wood of their manor. Bai Xueguo had woken to the sound of the explosion and the flames overtaking the house. She barely escaped with her life, but her parents weren't so lucky.

Their bodies were recovered the next day, though this was just an assumption since all the bodies inside the manor were burnt beyond recognition. Bai Xueguo was left an orphan. Normally being from a noble family and educated meant she could get adopted by another noble family, but none were interested in her. Everywhere the law took her she was denied access to and eventually she ended up in an orphanage miles away from her home town.

She lived there for three years. She was ten when she fled. During that time she'd been abused verbally and physically, and the orphanage itself ran an undercover trafficking operation where they'd sell the orphans to slavers. Bai Xueguo was pretty, they'd have fetched a lot for her. But she caught wind of their plan and one night when the moon was high, she fled.

She traveled as far as her two little legs could carry her with the clothes on her back, and a small sack containing only food and one heirloom. A necklace she had been given, the only thing that survived the fire was the silver pendant. It was a locket and opened to reveal small portraits of her parents. It was the only thing she had left of them. Unfortunately living on the streets was tough.

She ran out of food and the locket was stolen one night while she slept. She could do nothing but struggle on. The once kindhearted wise girl became guarded and snappy. No one would offer her work for she was too young and a girl, so she resorted to thievery to survive. She was quickly growing defensive against the world.. no one would ever stick up for a starving orphan, would they?
