Upon seeing him for the first time, one can think Akl is a vain and strict man; a spoiled royalty that sees himself as someone superior from everyone else, but despite his intimidating looks and heavy aura Akl is much different from that outer shell that most people paint him as.
In reality Akl is one kind man, not only he's selfless - always putting his loved ones well being in front of his - but he’s also kind and is friendly towards everyone - despite he does tries to stay silent and composed since he does have a certain image to maintain as a royalty. He’s a born charming, smooth talker person that tries to get on everyone’s good side.
Sadly, those good sides of his can also be used against him, due to his overly friendless Akl can easily be fooled, and his naiveness so as his belief that everyone can change their bad behavior makes him an easy target to be deceived.
Normally Akl is someone that tries his best to avoid conflicts and even most of problems, he’s a free spirit that would rather avoid looking at someone suffering if helping them would cause him problems later, but of course his consciousness wouldn't let him alone, so he would try to help without bringing much attention for him - sneakily.

Akl is the fifth prince in line for the succession to the throne, not only he was the youngest but he never really had any interest in that, since he was always so close to the first prince, he saw how the boy struggled to achieve the high standards to be a crown prince. Instead of studying fencing, reading books and learning how to lead a country, Akl was much more busy having fun in his life and being like a free bird.

But his freedom didn’t last that long, since a sudden civil war started and most of his brothers were killed by rebels. The boy that never really had any preparation to take the crown’s heigh now had a heavy burden on his shoulders.

Still, Akl was still too young and inexperienced to lead a whole country by himself, so while he was the face of the royalty his deceased father's main counsellor - Rashad - acted as a ruler in his place, taking care of the important decisions for him.

Akl wasn’t left all alone with no family, even if his older brothers and father weren’t present in his life anymore he still had his sisters left alive, and so as the oldest son of the king, a crip man named Mikal, Akl’s half brother.

Mikal constantly advised his young brother that he shouldn't thrust the kingdom on someone’s else hands, even if their late father thrusted on that man, an important lord chancellor, he shouldn't be so blind about that, but due the lack of interest coming from Akl his older brother came to the conclusion that he had to help him on lead the country as his right man, so he would keep an eye on Rashad’s behaviors in order to don’t let him freely usurp the throne, he would rule the kingdom in the shadows at least until Akl was ready to seriously take his duty as a king.

Despite knowing he would never be a ruler due to his physical disability, or even being able leave his room without help, Mikal still studied like a king should, he would be the perfect ruler - so as because he is the late king’s first child, it was his right to be one - wasn’t for his sick body. Thanks to that Akl was able to rely on his help.
