    Mikhail is an unabashedly selfish and self-serving person, which stemmed from his childhood and the way he was treated until his adulthood, and continues to be treated even in present time.

    Having grown up a slave, and being ostracized and mistreated when he did what he had to in order to survive. He tends to be possessive of anything he owns, and takes great care of them in order to make sure they last long and so that no one will take his things away from him; he has a tendency to hoard any food that can be stored, and despises having to share his meals - however, despite that, if he sees someone starving or struggling, he'd be more willing to share, because he knows exactly what it's like to be in that kind of situation.

    He's very distrustful of people and is over-independent, being very rude and dismissive towards others so that they'll leave him alone, and constantly struggles to trust or rely on others. Mikhail views his injuries and shortcomings as weaknesses to hide or overcome, lest be taken advantage of.

    Still, Mikhail understands the value of compassion, and has had his moments of kindness, or, at the very least, neutrality. At the same time, he also understands that kindness should not always be freely given, and that, for him, there will always be some degree of paranoia regardless of whether he's on the giving or receiving end of it.
