Richard Ma'aru

When the infernal creatures of the world of demons first came, they came to conquer. The Cubi came for more sophisticated reasons. Establishing first an enclave in the material world to begin advancing their society outside of the hellish landscape of actual hell, the Incubi and Succubi of the Twelve Moons suffered the same setbacks as any other pioneer or settler...but in time they thrived.

Arranged by the Twelve High Houses, called the Twelve Moons, each family line possesses unique abilities, while others are considered common amongst them all. The society is Matriarchal, lead by the First House: House D'Remi, who's head is the Raven Priestess, the leader of their people.

Richard, already unusual for the title of Lord, headed the House Ma'aru, the Second of the Twelve Moons. He stood as the right hand and enforcer of the Priestess, and possessed rare and highly violent powers that were uncommon for the largely sensual Cubi, even amongst the more powerful Succubi.

Incubi were rarely house heads, but far more rare was a male who's power dwarfed even the more potent noble Succubi in terms of power. Fiercely loyal to the Raven Priestess, it was rumored they were childhood sweethearts, but Richard could never be considered the Raven King. He was too valuable as her sword to be wasted on the ceremonial position of husbandry.

Terrible shame too, he was such a looker.
