  • In the Beginning

    It all started at her conception - a world where two drastically different species shouldn't have bred resulted in the persecution of her family.
    Dragons were isolated creatures, and rarely did they like to leave their caves. Giants were just as reclusive but had more of a sense of community. However, they were more violent about those who trespassed and weren't of their chosen clan. Her father was an impressive dragon, and cut an imposing figure in cold monotone colors. Her mother was considered one of the most lovely of the clans, and therefore had a life assigned for her. Chaffing at the matrimonial bonds that were placed on her without her consent, she fled into a blizzard - being of the mind to either get away, or die trying. In which she nearly did - but luck was on her side. For many hours she traveled until she couldn't, and her exhaustion took a hold of her mother right in front of her fathers cozy den. From the stories told, he did not handle a random giant at his door well. Eventually, because unlike the rest of his kind, his soft heart couldn't leave the woman outside. So he brought her in and began to nurse her back to health. In that time feelings were developed, and Renari soon was a part of the world. Adored by her parents, and scorned by the world, she learned to keep to herself. The result of her birth, however, made the hunting down of her family a sport and sparked a constant state of hyper vigilance for the hybrid woman. Now, she has made a life for herself - away from the tall and icy mountains, and the conflict of her two people. Renari was the happy owner of The Falconers Nest - a large tavern with multiple rooms, a large staff, and a hoard of... house cats.
