Hard and lean, Chayton is in the prime of his life. He pulled himself up out of the social ills of home. Made something of himself. Became far more than he'd ever planned to along the way.

Standing at six feet, he has the body of a fighter with thick, corded muscle. His black hair grows long and down his shoulder blades, only pulled back when need be. His clothing is simple and functional; always built for endurance. A decorative choker of bone wraps around his throat, with Sioux and other tribal markings.

His bearing is proud. His face, while initially stern, can crack into a smile when he's amused or happy. He speaks softly but firmly. Chayton doesn't yell; he doesn't need to. Most people pay attention without resorting to such measures.

All of his life is filtered through the lens of the hunt. Day-to-day struggles, love, and his quarry are approached the same way. Observed, identified, studied, and then dealt with in the appropriate manner. There's a wildness to Chayton, an untamed aspect to match his looks, which are almost directly off the cover of a romance novel.

Chayton is a werewolf and proud of it. He strives to embody the spirit of the hunt and of the wild. He's comfortable in his skin, either man, wolf, or in-between. Once a lost, angry young man, he's now found himself and his calling.

Life's a bit wild some nights.

Face Claim: Jay Tavare

I'm perfectly comfortable with Chayton being hurt, experiencing intimacy, or even being killed in the course of an RP. I can do long or short term; he works for one-off meetings or flings equally well as long term romances or adventures.

I'll RP sexual content with 18+ writers. Please don't lie about your age; if you do, I'll instantly I'll block and report you. I RP sexual scenes realistically but if you don't wish to write such things out, please let me know ahead of time so I don't make you uncomfortable by mistake. I'm kink friendly (no bathroom stuff). Ask if it's something unusual or non-standard and I'll likely say yes. Chayton is heterosexual.

I'll accept anonymous characters on a case by case basis. If there's barely any info on your profile, however, I'll decline. I want to see that it's a character whose writer put forth some effort on it. Images on profiles are also a must.

If you want to end an RP, let me know. I have no hard feelings or wounded pride in these situations. It happens. I won't hound you for posts either. If more than a week passes without a reply, I'll archive the RP. If you want to continue, just post or send me a message and we'll get back on the horse. Please understand my own schedule is also wonky; I may go stretches at a time without posting on account of it. A lot of it is beyond my control so I apologize in advance. I'm not ghosting you, I'm probably just being eaten alive by work or other commitments.

I don't mind violence or foul language in an RP. Chayton is a werewolf; some violence is part and parcel to him. Some of the images on this profile include depictions of such.

Common sense non-consent with my characters is fine. Keep the RP flowing. I'm not going to be offended if you have your character touch his shoulder or do other mundane things. The two way street of courtesy and all.

I'm game for any kind of modern fantasy/horror or even a more fantastical setting with Chayton. I can range from worlds where the supernatural is a secret to worlds more like Dresden where it's known about but rarely observed directly. I'm free to tweaking things to meet other plots or settings, if need be. Below are some story angles I'd love to explore with him.

Needs Must
Chayton needs something from your character. It could be anything. He needs a surgeon who won't ask questions to fix up some bullet holes in some people whose names he won't give. He needs you to stop trying to change the neighborhood even though you think it's for the better. He needs you to pretend he's human for a few minutes so he can try and remember a time before he was at war. He needs your car. He needs stress relief, wants a quick fuck, and you caught his eye. He thinks you've got muster and wants a new ally. It doesn't have to be a benign need, just any need. What does he have to do to convince a person to give in?

Connections
Packmates. Other werewolves. Other creatures of the night. Allies or enemies. Both at the same time or "it's complicated". People who knew him before he became the werewolf he is now. People who remember the man more than the monster. Comrades in arms or traitors together in a conspiracy, whispering while their hands hold knives behind their backs, as Caesar talks. Humans he interacts with, be it casually or purpose-driven. Sinners and saints, one and all. Maybe he wants something from you... or maybe you want something from him. What does one or the other have to do to get what they want and how can we, as writers, do everything in our power to keep it from happening? It's the striving for, not the attainment of, one's goals that drives a tale.

Alternate Settings
Want to play in a high fantasy world with monsters and magic? Chayton can be a part of that. A Medieval semi-realistic world? Chayton is a monster in the woods, hunting by night. A Roman-esque setting? He was captured and brought back to Rome for entertainment or as a (very dangerous) slave. Victorian world? He and his are union-affiliated and downtrodden, fighting against the man. If it could house a werewolf, in any era, it can house Chayton. While his default is a modern fantasy setting, Chayton can appear anywhere and be tailored to any world. I'm flexible and creative. If you have an idea where he could plug in, I'm game to hear it. The default 'modern' setting is only that; a default so there's a launch point.

When It All Falls Down
Despite his best efforts, Chayton falls. Loses it all. He's alpha wolf no longer and it's pretty clear he needs to get out of town or else he'll see the moonrise one last time. Chayton hits the road and figures he'll make a new territory, somewhere else, or return and reclaim his old one. The nomadic werewolf pack on the road, living town to town. He could appear anywhere, maybe even in your town. What would a small town setting be like when a werewolf rumbles into town on a stolen chopper? Take the chance to join in his quest or stand against him?

The Dark Secret
The werewolves and Chayton live in a society of rules and expectations, where codes of conduct are strictly adhered to and one's other werewolves are always watchful for signs that someone or something might be off. That's a problem for Chayton because of your character. Maybe they're a vampire he finds interesting, a mage he consults with, one of the Fair Folk, or a stranger thing beside. His fellows certainly wouldn't understand an acquaintance, friendship, or more intimate connection to such a being. If it ever came out (or when it comes out), Chayton may suffer censure, violence, or worse and your character would definitely be looked at as prey by his fellows. Whether supernatural Romeo and Juliet or old friends who ended up on different sides, your character's association with Chayton likely wouldn't endear them to their own faction either.

Unlikely Allies
Similar to, or even in tandem with, the above is an RP where a greater threat compels disparate forces to work together or all be destroyed. Perhaps the city is in danger of being overrun by enemies. A cell of organized hunters with Vatican sponsorship move in and begin rounding up different members of the supernatural community. Whatever the threat is, it's greater than any one faction can deal with on their own. Trust is non-existent and the alliance is always one frayed end away from disintegrating. Our characters could develop a relationship, per the Dark Secret prompt above, or perhaps become leaders of their respective sides, trying to keep a lid on the chaos long enough to bring their enemies low.

Slice of Life
Don't feel like dealing with supernatural drama or werewolf politics? Just fine with me. I'm happy to do a version of Chayton where none of that factors in at all. You can be human and he won't do anything remotely supernatural that might key them off about the hidden world. Just two folks talking or doing whatever.
