    Upon a cold winter's night, Colette was dropped off as an infant upon the doorstep of the Mount Melleray Abbey, a monastery situated on the slopes of the Knockmealdown mountains in County Waterford, Ireland. She was taken in and raised among the nuns. At the age of 9, she experienced her first shift and ran amok. On that fateful day, she went into a blind rage and hurt several of her peers and fellow nuns, even killing one of the nuns, thus being labelled cursed, believed to be the ancestor of a tribe of werewolves who were related to the kings of Ossory in eastern Ireland. The monastery then decided it would be best to keep her existence and the death of the nun a secret to protect the reputation of the church.

    Protocols were set in place to contain her. Though she was able to perform her duties as a nun like the rest of her peers, she was never to leave the monastery and would be confined to her quarters at night, bound to her bed by chains and shackles. Against their beliefs, the mother superior contacted a witch to imbue a silver rosary with a black kyanite gemstone, which she was to keep on her person at all times. She spent most of her years bound to a routine of faith, prayer, and nunly duties, developing her love for god and a strong sense of selflessness. However, at the age of 18, the monastery could not legally keep her. She could have chosen to stay, but she felt an overwhelming compulsion to leave. Not knowing why, but she felt an urge to seek out something as if something were calling her, drawing her away.

    With the bible in hand, a black kyanite gemstone imbued silver rosary, and a few extra sets of her habit, she left Mount Melleray Abbey. Eventually, she found herself boarding a plane to America.
