• What? You Want More?

  This is here purely for amusement. This questionnaire does not exist in character. It is only here to get to know Rakshasa a little more. It will all be answered in her point of view. Enjoy.
  
  
  

  Part 1: The Basics

  
  1. What is your full name?
  The whole thing? Really? ~sighs~ My name is Rakshasa La Douce Dell Rue. Yes... My parents were...Nobles. ~shrugs~
  
  2. Where and when were you born?
  ~waves vaguely~ I don't even remember how old I am. But I was born in the plains, like all my people.
  
  3. Who are/were your parents?
  The Lady and Lord Rue, leaders of the Shade Demons, the Keepers of the Plains. They are still alive... at least, they were last time I saw them... I should really go visit more often.
  
  4. Do you have any siblings? What are/were they like?
  I have a few, though the one I know best is Sashaka, my younger sister. She wants the leadership title that should go to me as oldest. The way I look at it, she can have it. I'll outlive her anyway. Hmmm.... that was slightly mean and morbid wasn't it?
  
  5. Where do you live now, and with whom? Describe the place and the person/people.
  I currently live in a palace in the middle of the desert. Such a difference from my home, hmmm? I miss the smell of the plains grass, and sand can get into the most irritating of places... No matter. I live with my... 'husband', Dusk, and our three darling children. Though, or course, I'm the only one who thinks they are all 'darling'. Unfortunately, two of the little creatures have taken after me... needless to say they are hell raisers of the Nth degree. The odd child out is my little pale princess, she is so well behaved I know she is going to be the apple of her father's eye. The rest are mostly servants or slaves of the household... though there is Djer. He is Dusk's... secretary? Butler? Something like that. I enjoy teasing him and my husband far too much. Their disdain at my two terrors is vastly amusing.
  
  6. What is your occupation?
  I normally hire out as a Merc, though, as a mother, I have been staying closer to home and working on more... conventional projects. Like splicing genetic codes.

  I'm green with golden yellow swirls all over my body, the most prominent of which swirl over my eyes and end underneath them. I have medium length hair- bright red in color, my eyes only just a bit darker. I will never scar, nor will I ever be able to hold a tattoo, my skin would heal it to nothing within a day. I am decently tall, 6'2", and I am of a good weight- fairly muscled... and I prefer comfortable clothing. Meaning not very much of it.
  
  8. To which social class do you belong?
  Noble high class from birth. Though I can do the snooty high brow stuff, I really prefer just dressing down in my leathers and hanging out at a bar and people watching.
  
  9. Do you have any allergies, diseases, or other physical weaknesses?
  I have a rare rapid healing ability, If I sneeze on you, it's because of something that tickled my nose. Oh? I cured your cold? Your welcome.
  
  10. Are you right- or left-handed?
  ~looks at her hands~ I'm... ambidextrous. Have to be. Never know when I might lose an arm.
  
  11. What does your voice sound like?
  If ice cream was sarcastic and could talk, I would sound like a hot fudge sundae. Do I tempt you? Good.
  
  12. What words and/or phrases do you use very frequently?
  ....Interesting, 'Oh really?', I find you amusing, don't put that there, Muffins
  
  13. What do you have in your pockets?
  I don't wear pants... usually. But I do wear arm pockets. Lets see... a couple razor blades/throwing knives/stars, bandages for those bad days... and apparently some chewing gum. Wonder how long that has been in there....
  
  14. Do you have any quirks, strange mannerisms, annoying habits, or other defining characteristics?
  I love to people watch, I find the mannerisms of some to be rather entertaining- especially drunk people. I have a tendency to tease those I shouldn't, I can be horribly blunt, and I have several annoying habits/mannerisms that may or may not be permanent. I haven't decided yet.
  

  
  

  Part 2: Growing Up

  
  15. How would you describe your childhood in general?
  Carefree, wild, everything a childhood should be. I felt safe in my home, though my parents hated it, I loved exploring, and most times fell... a lot. It's a good thing I have this healing ability, otherwise I would have died soon after my first excursion when I was five... But hey, our species phasing ability is about 80% of our mortality rate. The other 20% is stupidity.
  
  16. What is your earliest memory?
  A dark shadow over my crib. Made me scream to my little baby lung's limits. Apparently I was being poisoned. Yum.
  
  17. How much schooling have you had?
  Klan schooling. The elders taught us common sense, mathematics, some basics on how to control our species 4 basic powers. Other schooling... such as how to kill people efficiently, grapple, and just plain worldly knowledge came much later.
  
  18. Did you enjoy school?
  I like learning new things. Keeps life interesting.
  
  19. Where did you learn most of your skills and other abilities?
  Through experience. though some of it came through on instinct- like in my strength and healing abilities. My phasing ability.... took a lot of practice.... and broken bones.
  
  20. While growing up, did you have any role models? If so, describe them.
  I idolized my father. He taught me leadership, responsibility, honor. All those who walk the plains know of honor. To lose one's honor here is tantamount to being the walking dead- for those without honor are worthless.
  
  21. While growing up, how did you get along with the other members of your family?
  I fought with my sister, babied my brothers, loved and respected my parents. It was a nice place to be. Still, I'm glad I left.
  
  22. As a child, what did you want to be when you grew up?
  An explorer. I suppose I kind of lived up to that. Mercs get around.
  
  23. As a child, what were your favorite activities?
  Climbing trees, setting traps, and playing tricks. It didn't matter if I caught an animal or a person, everything was a new experience back then.
  
  24. As a child, what kinds of personality traits did you display?
  Innocence, mischievousness, intuitive. I liked knowing what was going on around me. Puzzles were fascinating back then. Technically, they still are.
  
  25. As a child, were you popular? Who were your friends, and what were they like?
  I was the upcoming heir of the Klan. I was respected and had tons of bosom buddies. They were a good group to joke around with. I miss that.
  
  26. When and with whom was your first kiss?
  Oh, I was still a young thing. I think I stole a kiss from one of our Klan's handsomest boys. I'm sure he has a wife and brood of his own now. Can't for the life of me remember his name. He had gorgeous eyes though. Striking blue. I have a weakness for blue...
  
  27. Are you a virgin? If not, when and with whom did you lose your virginity?
  ~laughter~ Of course not. I'm far too old, not to mention I have children now! What kind of a silly question is that? Anyways, I don't sex and tell. Except about my husband. Everything you might have heard about a godchild in bed? All true.
  
  28. If you are a supernatural being (i.e. mage, werewolf, vampire), tell the story of how you became what you are or first learned of your own abilities. If you are just a normal human, describe any influences in your past that led you to do the things you do today.
  Every single shade demon is born with at least one of our four species abilities. Some will make themselves known right from birth, as my healing ability did- I was poisoned, go figure- but others sometimes take a bit to show. A lot of times, they wait until our markings become full, around puberty for my kind. I started showing my phasing abilities when I was five, my strength didn't show up until I was 15- on my way to being a full woman.
  

  
  

  Part 3: Past Influences

  
  29. What do you consider the most important event of your life so far?
  Meeting my husband. I didn't know it, but that one answer to his question swerved my world in a completely different direction than I would have ever dreamed.
  
  30. Who has had the most influence on you?
  There is not one singular person. I take influence from all those that have come before, and those who have come in contact with me.
  
  31. What do you consider your greatest achievement?
  Right now? My children. They are my legacy- though I don't really need one. They still make me all warm and fuzzy inside. I'm so proud.
  
  32. What is your greatest regret?
  Having to destroy a village on the beginnings of plague to save the whole of my people. I will always remember the children...
  
  33. What is the most evil thing you have ever done?
  Done my job without a lick of emotion. Sometimes, you just do what must be done.
  
  34. Do you have a criminal record of any kind?
  ~shrug~ What merc doesn't?
  
  35. When was the time you were the most frightened?
  When those I cared for were in jeopardy. It does not happen often, but there is nothing like that feeling.
  
  36. What is the most embarrassing thing ever to happen to you?
  Way back when I was a teen... the first time someone saw my full markings. It was that self conscious embarrassment, as if they could see who I was etched on my skin. Technically, you can, but it takes a long time to decipher the meanings, and it is not always an exact science.
  
  37. If you could change one thing from your past, what would it be, and why?
  I can't save everyone. That is all I have to say.
  
  38. What is your best memory?
  Some of my best memories are of fights.... and right now, I fight best with my husband. He's lots of 'fun'.

  40. Are you basically optimistic or pessimistic?
  Optimistic. Things could always be worse. But right now, hey, I have all my limbs. Things are good.
  
  41. What is your greatest fear?
  Losing those I love.
  
  42. What are your religious views?
  There are higher powers out there. I've met them, and they scare the shit out of me.
  
  43. What are your political views?
  Whatever my husband says. Mostly. (Power to the people as long as they aren't stupid)
  
  44. What are your views on sex?
  The more the merrier? Sex is a hunger, feed it baby.
  
  45. Are you able to kill? Under what circumstances do you find killing to be acceptable or unacceptable?
  Justifiable death is the only kind I will accept. My honor won't let me just kill willy-nilly. Is a contract a justifiable death? Of course. They will die one way or another. And sorry, once I choose, I don't switch sides no matter the money.
  
  46. In your opinion, what is the most evil thing any human being could do?
  Kill children with no cause. Even killing children with a reason is horrible... but sometimes it must be done.
  
  47. Do you believe in the existence of soul mates and/or true love?
  Yes, of course. Though my husband isn't mine, nor am I his. I am simply... 'good enough'. ~shrugs~ One day I will find the one for me, I'll find a way to kill the bitch that is Dusk's mother, and everyone will be happy. ...don't ask.
  
  48. What do you believe makes a successful life?
  Happiness.
  
  49. How honest are you about your thoughts and feelings?
  Pretty honest. I don't beat around the bush.
  
  50. Do you have any biases or prejudices?
  Stupid people. Hate them. They are the bane of all existence, and they come in all shapes and sizes.
  
  51. Is there anything you absolutely refuse to do under any circumstances? Why do you refuse to do it?
  Go against an oath. To do so would mean to be forsworn, and lose my honor. I would never be able to return to my home, and I am gosh darn hard to kill. So why go against my word for the benefit of being worthless for the rest of eternity?
  
  52. Who or what, if anything, would you die for?
  My children, I love them dearly. And though there is no real love between us, my husband. I respect him, and I think every creature deserves happiness. Or simply children in general, they are precious.
  

  
  

  Part 5: Relationships With Others

  
  53. In general, how do you treat others? Does your treatment of them change depending on how well you know them, and if so, how?
  I'm normally polite, if playful upon first meeting. Depending on how well I know them, I may get more friendly/silly/rude as the situation calls for it.
  
  54. Who is the most important person in your life, and why?
  Why do you have to ask that? It's like asking about stars and which on is your favorite. I love my children, I love my creatures, I don't have any one being that I hold above the rest.
  
  55. Who is the person you respect the most, and why?
  I respect my husband. Why? Because I can annoy him, pester him, kill him, and he hasn't fully dismembered me yet. I respect his position and the way he deals with people. He is a very interesting person to know. I respect others... but he is the most prominent right now.
  
  56. Who are your friends? Do you have a best friend? Describe these people.
  I consider my Slavika a friend, though she be an animal she is surprisingly smart. She knows things. I have some sparring partners that were once lovers. I try to keep on good terms with those I have met.
  
  57. Do you have a spouse or significant other? If so, describe this person.
  He is an insufferable ass, but only behind closed doors. I think I might enjoy him most at those times, maybe even love him... a little. His public face is, well, public, and what would be accepted. The best of manners, the stiffest shirt ever... even though he only wears the finest silk. He is large, taller then myself, and made of milk chocolate. I love biting into him. Rawr. ~chuckle~ Don't tell him I said that, he might flay me alive.
  
  58. Have you ever been in love? If so, describe what happened.
  Yes, it was a divine sight... when I first saw my spear after I had put in a special craft order. Love at first sight.
  
  59. What do you look for in a potential lover?
  Strength, a good sense of humor, wicked intentions, and a sense of honor.
  
  60. How close are you to your family?
  My close family I keep close, my children are my little monsters. My brothers and sisters, my parents, I try to keep in touch and tend to visit when I need to check on things with my Verka herd.
  
  61. Have you started your own family? If so, describe them. If not, do you want to? Why or why not?
  Of course I have. I have three daughters. The first two have grey skin, One with my red hair, though far curlier, and her father's eyes. She is a smart thing, conniving and mischievous. The second has my eyes, red and dangerous, but her father's straight black hair. She is a curious thing, much like I was, and loves to explore and learn new things. She gets along with her fire haired sibling like two peas in a pod, creating havoc where ever they go. The last, but not least, looks nothing like me, but everything like her uncle. Silver hair, bright green eyes, and fair of skin. She is a perfect angel, obedient and sweet. I'm pretty sure she doesn't have a drop of me in her, though I did stare at her for several hours when she was just a baby, trying to find some scrap. Ah well, only time will tell I suppose.
  
  62. Who would you turn to if you were in desperate need of help?
  My husband, my creations, or my Klan.
  
  63. Do you trust anyone to protect you? Who, and why?
  My husband would protect me up to a point, my Verka's would protect me to their death. Just try getting past one of those beasties, let alone a whole herd.
  
  64. If you died or went missing, who would miss you?
  My children, my creatures, My Slavika, and some of my relations. I think I would be more a disdainful thought for my husband, he would find my permanent death inconvenient.
  
  65. Who is the person you despise the most, and why?
  Despise is such a strong word. But I am vastly wary of My Husband's Mother.... she should really permanently retire sometime soon... like into a black hole. I hear they are nice this time of year.
  
  66. Do you tend to argue with people, or avoid conflict?
  I'm a mediator or an instigator, I rarely sit out, but it has happened on occasion.
  
  67. Do you tend to take on leadership roles in social situations?
  Yes? I have found that most persons are not as old as I, and therefore do not have the appropriate amount of experiences to carry things through properly. Far too many people are... stupid.
  
  68. Do you like interacting with large groups of people? Why or why not?
  Yes, and no. Large groups of people can turn into a single mob far easier than some might think. Why not just a small intimate group of conspirators? So much easier to take out.
  
  69. Do you care what others think of you?
  They can think what they like, it's their mind.
  

  
  

  Part 6: Likes And Dislikes

  
  70. What is/are your favorite hobbies and pastimes?
  Creating things, finding challenges and solving puzzles. The world must be interesting for me to stay in it, or is the world interesting because I am? Heh.
  
  71. What is your most treasured possession?
  My spear. It weighs over a ton, but has never dulled or broken like so many of my other spears.
  
  72. What is your favorite color?
  This is a trick question, isn't it? Tricksy, tricksy. I think I shall side step it.
  
  73. What is your favorite food?
  Steak. Meat, things killed and cooked over a fire. Seasoned is best.
  
  74. What, if anything, do you like to read?
  Informative things. I like learning about what makes things tick. I have been known to pick up a fanciful novel on occasion, but I much prefer to read a manuel than a romance.
  
  75. What is your idea of good entertainment?
  Depends on my mood. Watching others make a fool out of themselves can be very entertaining. Fights can be entertaining. I enjoy teasing others the best. The reactions are always priceless.
  
  76. Do you smoke, drink, or use drugs? If so, why? Do you want to quit?
  I drink when I feel like it. I rarely feel a buzz. I don't do drugs simply because there is no reason, and most of them do crazy things to your head.
  
  77. How do you spend a typical Saturday night?
  Curled up reading, perhaps experimenting in my lab... or tormenting my husband with my presence. ~grin~
  
  78. What makes you laugh?
  Many things, but right now, it's your face.
  
  79. What, if anything, shocks or offends you?
  OHMAIGAWD YOUR NUDE.... your kinda small aren't you? ~snickers~ All teasing aside, it takes quite a bit to shock me. Offending, well, rude comments might do it, especially about my children... if you aren't related to them.
  
  80. What would you do if you had insomnia and had to find something to do to amuse yourself?
  I would bake some 'muffins'. Don't worry, not a lot of people get that.
  
  81. How do you deal with stress?
  I beat things? I bake... or I create new creatures. I'm a chaotic creature.
  
  82. Are you spontaneous, or do you always need to have a plan?
  Depends upon the situation. But in a word, I'm both.

  Idiots, stupidity and being just plain dumb. I cannot suffer fools.

  84. Describe the routine of a normal day for you. How do you feel when this routine is disrupted?
  Get up, get dressed, see if I need to be present for any of my husbands proceedings, play with the children, perhaps do some work in my lab. I eat three times somewhere in there. And if things are disrupted? Lovely, I love a good wrench in the works. Keeps things interesting.
  
  85. What is your greatest strength as a person?
  I'm very easy-going. I may be tough on some, but I can get along with almost anyone... perhaps it's due to patience? I have all the time in the world.
  
  86. What is your greatest weakness?
  Boredom. But I'm sure I'm not the only one with this affliction.
  
  87. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
  It is hard to hate oneself. I'm actually quite happy with me. Well done creator, well done.

  Your joking right? It's so obvious that I am an Extroverted person... it's like you weren't even listening.

  I am a fan of organized chaos. But I know how to be just plain organized when it calls for it.

  Well, lets see... I'm good at fighting, obviously- I'm a merc with a decent reputation. I'm good at cooking- baking especially... mmmm muffins. ~Smiles slyly~ And... I am rather good with breeding/splicing new animals- like my Verkas. Things I'm bad at? Suffering fools- but I really hope you gathered that already... I'm bad at cleaning... and I'm sure there is something else... Why don't you simply ask Dusk for a list?

  Of course, I am awesome. Do you like yourself? I know, it's okay, don't cry; if I was in your shoes, I might wish I was me too.
  
  92. What are your reasons for being an adventurer? Are your real reasons for doing this different than the ones you tell people in public?
  Because exploring is widening your knowledge of the world, and it is exciting. And I wear my motives on my sleeve... unless I have to kill you.... you don't look like anyone who has a bounty, so don't worry about it.
  
  93. What goal do you most want to accomplish in your lifetime?
  Raise my kiddies right... after that, we'll see. I'm so long lived, I'm practically immortal.
  
  94. Where do you see yourself in 5 years?
  Cleaning up after 6 year olds. Mostly my twin terrors. I'll probably dabble a bit more into the kingdom politics, let the hubbie run off on some free time.
  
  95. If you could choose, how would you want to die?
  After having a full life, warm and old in a bed. But that won't happen, so why dwell on it. Second best thing is to go out with my boots on.
  
  96. If you knew you were going to die in 24 hours, name three things you would do in the time you had left.
  Spend the day with my family, coax my husband into some long 'us' time... then kill his mother as a last bang. Dusks mother is such a... well, she has a nicer replacement, lets just keep it at that.

  How I always tried to make people laugh or smile.
