While yes, Forti is a gargoyle, she does not hold the magic that requires that she succumb to stone slumber by day. The act of stone sleeping renders her vulnerable. Should she be injured severely, at the point of near death, the magic she does have will take over, and she will be rendered stone. When this happens, she's left completely vulnerable, and completely cut off from everyone else, for weeks, months, or years, depending on how badly she was injured. This does not guarantee her survival, but has been implemented on more than one occasion.

She carries some magic - she's learned how to belch (NOT breathe) fire, can link on a very basic and weak level telepathically with some animals, and is adept at sleight of hand. When she's very angry or happy, the 'fire' in her gut can make her exceptionally warm to the to the touch, as well as cause her breath to appear steamy even on a hot day. The gas buildup inside her, coupled with her twenty foot wingspan gives her the capability for gliding but not flight. She can carry up to one hundred pounds with her, while gliding, but more weight than that and it becomes gradually falling, with style. She can see in the dark, and her eyes often shine very brightly when she's emotional. At any given time, she's got the equivalent of several 'pockets of holding' on her person - sewn into her pants, usually.

Her breed of gargoyles are relatively new to emotions - over several generations, they developed sentience and free will, and tho she tries very hard, she often does not understand how to articulate her emotions - especially anger. She can have quite the short fuse, but alternatively can also be a saint with certain folks. She very likely suffers from a form of PTSD, and can be irrational or even monstrous when triggered.

Rules - There aren't many, but they're important.

1. Use common sense and respect when dealing with me, and I will do so when dealing with you, I promise.

2. Resist the urge to try to be the 'perfect' RP partner - Use your wits, your smarts, and put forth a little effort when you write and I will return the favor. Take your time, but if I have to wait more than 10-15 minutes for posts I am liable to get bored rather quickly. I don't need Shakespearian quality, either - as long as there aren't so many typos and misspelled words that it doesn't make sense, we're golden.

3. Your character has flaws, so does mine - Use magic and mystery and wild, unknown nature to give your character depth and abilities, by all means, but do not forget, even a diamond as the strongest substance known can have imperfections, flaws which also give it depth and character.
