Lowlands, rich and fertile, broken by deep glacial lakes and rivers.
Averia is a place of natural beauty, upon which it's first inhabitants built.
Towns of timber and white stone, constructed around sacred shrines and warded foci,
To towering cities built from forest and mountain into artistic edifices of fey-touched glory.
Those of divine calling were drawn to Averia, in the aftermath of the Age of Legends.
As the creatures and machines and abominations of the Abyss fell and were hunted, Averia was founded.

Averia is a place of isolated towns and protected villages, linked by pale white-stone roads.
Those same roads, blessed by the Council, protect travelers, and are even imbued with minor miracles.

The same paths rigorously maintained by the Holy Orders of Averia.
Devout followers of the Celestial Council, garrisons and forces of the Silver Tower, from Angelic knights
to trusted medicae and healers, to priests and acolytes studied and trained in ritual and blessing and divine miracles.
Trackless, ancient mountain wilderness loom to the northern reaches of the realm.
Kest, bordering to the more civil reaches of the northlands, to the north east.
Aedynsrea, powerful and allied, dominating the lands directly east, between Averia and the eastern coastline.
Connected by road and by river, maintained routes of trade and travel.
To the South, the lush and verdant forests of the Lyshalle forest, homeland of the Elven crowns and noble houses.
Directly west, there lies a troubling darkness. The Ghost Spine mountains, and the Black Wood.
An ancient place, once home to the courts of the fey, and now haunted by the things that ancient civilization left behind.
A place where no army has hold, and the most elite of rangers or hunters are hard pressed to speak of.

This is the noble aspirations to which Nessa devoted herself
To study and train, honing herself as a weapon of the Celestial Council
Against all the supernatural threats that would prey on mortal folk.
Not for her, the lofty heights of crown and glory. Nessa was driven by another goal.
To have the strength to protect those who had not the skills or talents.
To uphold law and order.
To heal the sick and injured.
To bring mercy to those stolen by dark entities
Or to win them their freedom from such chains.
When she first awoke, it was in a sacred crypt. Clad in white and gold silks, filled with a sense of duty.
They had resurrected her from death, filled with the light of the divine.
Scribing litanies of protection and faith into her very bones, crafting a body that could act as a champion to their cause.
To hunt the living nightmares that might escape the Abyss.
To stand as a shield to the common folk, against monster or criminal,
Slaver or apostles to the dark gods and forbidden magics.
Thus began a new life, where Nessa would devote herself to training and prayer.
To studying and practicing the art of sigaldry and sign,
till she could infuse the very breath of air around herself with divine power.
Bringing to bear protective wards, or miracles of healing
Or Holy Fire, to expunge the foulness of the forbidden.
Slay the demon, Save the soul

To be a beacon of hope, a champion.
More than a priestess or medicae.

~Specialized Gear~
- Reapers Scythe, a Shifting blade that can take forms based on Nessa's need. Typically worn as a soul-bound necklace depicted as a silver feather, on a delicate silver chain.
- Blessed Warplate, soulbound like her scythe, the armor is usually a full layer of fine silver-white chain, beneath heavier looking plate and scale of the same color. It doesn't hinder her movement, given her training. This armor, when not 'in uniform' appears as whatever simple clothing Nessa requires. Though it is less protective, in this form.
- Guardian Stone, a sapphire blue gemstone roughly the size of a merchant 'crown' coin, set in a silver fitting and affixed to her belt or the inside of her cloak or breastplate. This allows her to communicate over great distances, with other guardian stones, or the Great Stones kept in each Silver Tower Garrison.
- Shard of Winter, a plain looking silver ring that Nessa wears, which helps narrow her focus with any form of ice magic. It can also be used for simpler effects, from cooling objects, food, drink, to purifying them. This only works in small areas, unless amplified by her own spells.
