What can be learned

• The story thus far..

  Aolani has shared some of her past. What is known is that she is a Gypsy. She had lived with her father, mother, four brothers. Three of her brothers, married. The oldest two brothers, each had children. How many, she has not said. The third oldest, was expecting his first child. The fourth, and youngest of the brothers, was not married yet. Sometime, around the age of six to eight years of age Aolani's family was attacked and she was taken and sold into slavery. It is unknown to Aolani if any of her family is still alive. (Anyone that might have an interest in playing one of the family members, please contact me and we can talk ideas out.)
  
  
  
  Till around the age of sixteen, to seventeen years of age, Aolani lived as a slave. Often viewed as being to wild and hard to break, for any one master to take on, she became more of a rental 'property'. Till one day, a woman bought both her and a male slave that Aolani was close to. The woman cleaned them up, gave them run of a private area of her home and grounds. She than placed an offer before them. The offer was, if they survived fighting a series of opponents, in a gladiator style fight, they would than have freedom. She promised that if they both made it to the end, they would both find 'freedom'. So, they fought. Sometimes against a lone opponent, other times they would fight side by side. Than, after the last fight, their master informed them that they would both have freedom, but only one would find the freedom of life, the other, would have the freedom of death. Her male companion, took it upon himself to take hold of Aolani's paw, so she could not drop the blade she held. He than forced her, to thrust the blade into his chest. Taking it upon himself to make the choice to take death and give her life.
  
  
  
  Freedom was given to her and she was sent out into the world, with a small bit of coin as payment..for providing such wonderful entertainment. Aolani had, during her time in the slave pens, learned many things, from many of the slaves she found herself sharing space with. Pairing them up, with the skills she still remembered learning as a child from her family. She took to making a living by tracking, killing and cheating many out of their coin. Drinking soon became her only companion. Often, she found be found at a tavern, or with bottle or flask in paw. One night, she got herself into a bit of trouble, during a card game and a botched assassination. Needing a place to hide away, she made her way up a large mountain. Having heard tales of an empty castle. Figuring that, none would come to look for her there..
  
  
  
  She soon found that, she was not the only one within the old walls of the black stone castle. Coming across some faces she had met within the Shadow Realm, such as Xerakon and Celtigar. But also, meeting some new faces, such as Kendall Moore, and Ja Lacaob. A year has passed and much has taken place within these castle walls. Finding herself calling this place home as well as finding herself falling very much in love with the young Ja Lacaob.
  
  
  
  More changes, have taken place. Finding herself having a "family" once again. This time, leaving her in the role of eldest, rather than youngest. Taking to calling Noye Ki'ar, her Daj (mother) and the young Rion, her brother. It's made her happier than she thought it would. One more missing piece, being filled. Helping to guide her down a path that will, she hopes, help her to find her purpose in life. Protecting those she loves and this place, she calls home beside them.
  
  
  
  The castle calls to her. Keeping the Gypsy from giving into the blood that runs through her veins. The blood that calls her to a nomadic life style. What does the castle want with her? She does not know. But she stays..waiting to see, just what fate has in store for her...

  Four years have passed since finding herself within the walls of the castle of black, known as SilverSouls. Much has changed in the life of the wandering Gypsy. She finds herself calling a place of stone walls, her home. At first her duties lay with simply running the bars within the castle. But now she is seated on the castle's council and left with the tasks of running the parties, both big and small.
  
  In these four years, she has found those that she dares to call family. Such as Noye Ki'ar, who has taken the role of her Daj (mother), along with the young Rion as her brother and Noye's newly born child is now marked as her sister. There has also been love and heart break. For nearly two years, she's been at the side of and has loved, Ja Lacaob. This relationship has sadly shifted in ways she would rather it not have. Part of her is always going to love him, yet that love has shifted to something else. The pair are forever bound to one another, through their son, Kiann. Their son, the true love of her life. There is nothing she won't do for him. Along with the young girl who goes by the name of Devy, who she encountered one day within the walls of the castle. She adores the girl and as far as she's concerned, Devy is her daughter.
  
  A chance encounter with the Nogitsune, Vulpecula Lyre, at the castle and once more over at Peddler's Hallow..had sent her world spinning. His company and friendship have always been welcomed. However things have not always gone well between the two of them. Yet through all the ups and downs, the Nogitsune has never stopped loving her. No matter how hard he tried to hate her. Like a moth to a flame, these two are always drawn back together. After a letter was sent, asking to see her..things have changed. A night of conversation led to a question, a proposal and a ring. After two years of ups and downs, love and hate, the Nogitsune has finally won the heart of the Gypsy.
  
  Varas, a wolf pup she's taken under her care, has now grown and has pups of his own. Helping him to heal from an injury when he was young, the two have bonded and Varas views Lani as his 'mother' while Lani views the wolf as her 'son'. The relationship has had it's share of ups and downs. But there isn't anything that they wouldn't do for one another. Family is what they are to one another.

  Things got off to a rocky start. Meaning. Jahana got to see my temper rise up. But, after a few more run ins with her and some talks. I must say, I rather enjoy her company.

  Friend and co-worker. She rather adores Zera.

  A dear friend that she shares a sisterly bond with.

  A sweet girl who I took on to work at the bar. She always makes me smile. I've not seen her for a while now, I hope that she's well.

  Met this brute many years ago. He's rough on the outside and the inside. But I enjoy his company, don't know if he enjoys mine. He reminds me of a life I once had, a reminder of the of who I was, before I came to the black castle. He's a friend, in my eyes.

  Enemies

  Finch. Bitch. I like the word Bitch better for her. Unable to own up to her actions, she hides behind others and allows them to fight for her. One of Trench's little fan girls. If I catch her behind the bar again..she'll have fewer fingers to work with.

  Family

  	Devalyn (played by Exya)
  The young girl, in some ways reminds me of myself. She makes me smile and I feel a need to protect her and see that she has a better life. I've come to call her daughter. Maybe someday, she'll come to call me mother.

  Acquaintances

  	Hilda Drakahn (played by Lina_Snow)
  Met her once, maybe twice. Her pictuer is hanging in the bar..as well as in the Hall of the Xr'ren. That's about all I've got on her.

  	Stormy Wind (played anonymously)
  Another gypsy! She's not of my clan, not sure yet what one. But. She is 'family' in a way. I'm looking forward to getting to know her.

  	Trench (played by twolfhound)
  Friend? Not sure. Enemy? Not sure. This man leaves feeling as if I'm always walking a fine line. A line where he might be in control of both ends and can cause me to fall at any moment. I just don't know what side I'll fall on when he's holding the string.
