  ✦ APPEARANCE Face claim is a younger Jean Dujardin. Though Sylvain is slightly above average in height and possessing of a decent, toned musculature, he is not an excessively imposing figure, physically. His appearance is overall one of youth and confidence, though his features sometimes tend towards sternness, as well. His noise appears slightly pronounced, though not enough to detract from his general good looks, his mouth broad occasionally possessing the sort of cynical twist which comes only from so many centuries of life. The silver locks which reach just past his ears are typically meticulously smoothed back, while his unusual golden eyes often contain at least a hint as to what he might be thinking, at any given time. His face is always clean shaven, making him seem even younger, despite the odd color of his hair. Every inch of his flesh appears to be fairly tan, though not absurdly so, and his hands seem to show some his innate lycanthropic strength. After a recent lengthy absence, the male appears to have acquired a good bit of scarring. The unmistakable aftermath of numerous sets of fangs and claws litter nearly his entire body, clearly healed, but some fresher than others. Some scarring also adorns his cranium, where it looks claws ravaged his left ear and down along his jawline; it even seems like he's lost hearing on that side. Newer scarring now adorns his face and especially his neck, as well as the rest of his body. The clothing he typically wears is relatively simple, though his attire his refined enough to hint at his noble upbringing. The shirt worn on his upper body is fairly loose to allow for easy movement, its front ruffled and sleeves even more voluminous than the rest of the garment. His lower body is covered by dark trousers fitted for both style and comfort, held in place by a fairly dark brown leather belt. The latter also holds his hefty money pouch and sheath for the ornate dagger always found on his form. A buckle bearing the Fleur De Lis keeps the belt about his waist. Feet are generally covered by boots. These are of a gleaming black leather and appear to lace up in the back. Finally, there is the cloak he tends to wear more for show than anything, due to his imperviousness to most colder weather. This is black, with a velvet purple interior, and the clasp is white gold with a single amethyst inset within.

  ✦ PERSONALITY Sylvain's demeanor can be difficult to follow, marked by semi-frequent mood swings and seeming contradictions. On the surface, however, he tends to come across as cool, collected, but typically mild-mannered. There is much, much more to him than this, however. He is also incredibly quick-witted and intelligent, a shrewd businessman, as well as undeniably loyal to those he considers friends, family, or similar, with a strong protective streak, as well. The nobleman is certainly capable of caring deeply for his pets and even his slaves, and he's grown more and more willing to show simple affection in recent years. This lycan also possesses, unsurprisingly, a definite anger problem, only exacerbated by the moon's fuller phases. Just because he can keep from exploding into another form doesn't mean he's any less dangerous when properly angered. Centuries of experience have simply taught him control, and it isn't always easy to tell when he's truly angered. These days, Sylvain is milder and more placid. He's less concerned with what others think, though he still maintains proper dress and etiquette for one of his station. Sylvain has grown an overall soft spot for slaves which is likely to do him in at some point. He's likely to treat them more as equals than most, engaging them in conversation and caring little for the rigid behaviors some expect of slaves. One of the Frenchman's most defining features these days is simply loneliness.
