  When everything's dark.. Keeps us from the stark reality.

  Raised in the Seelie courts by her Noble mother and father, El led an enchanted, comfortable life. Her childhood was relatively normal - as much as one's could be when surrounded by all manner of beauty. A lovely, graceful child, El was fawned over endlessly.
  
  Shortly after maturing into a teenager, her mother decided it was time to start her education. Taught in the arts of seduction, how to make herself even more appealing.. It wasn't until around a year later, that the cravings hit, and the weakness along with it. Thankfully, El's mother was there to explain all of it.
  
  She told the young Sidhe she would not be able to feed in Faerie, she would have to go to another plane - the Earth plane. El wasn't afraid, but very curious - after all, she'd never left Faerie in her life.

  El's upbringing had been filled with stories of humans, mortals. Tales of trickery and amusement, the way her friends and family toyed with them seemed cruel to her.
  Her parents had secured an apartment close to a forest for her, and she began to explore the city nearby.
  
  Oh, how easy it was to make all these mortals fall for her. A wink, a sway of hips, a giggle, fingers in her hair. She had lover after lover to feed from, and there was not a day she felt hunger.
  
  The sidhe had never been rejected.. until the day she tried to seduce a vampire. She was curt towards El, a simple "no". But how painful it felt, how humiliating. It was here, a bit unfulfilled, that she discovered her fourth love, chartreuse. Drunk on the glowing liquid, she left the nightclub and went home.
  
  When she awoke, she was voracious. To restore the confidence that had been so wounded. Sights set on a very talented, famous, but human musician. Almost instantly, he was hers. It didn't take long to find out that feeding from more creative types gave her more vitality.
  The truly talented were hard to find, but Ette quickly developed a knack for seeking them out.

  Wandering around downtown, she came across the melancholy notes of a violin. Letting her ears guide her, her gaze fell upon a beautiful, alternative woman. For Ette, it was love at first sight - she had to have her.
  
  She had never felt so strongly about any of her lovers, though she loved all of them in different ways. This was something else, and El found it was a mistake to seduce this one with glamour; something that would leave the Fae wondering if Araxea, as she preferred to be called, truly loved her.
  
  Turning up her glamour to appear more human , El proceeded to engage Rax in a slow, steady courtship. It was a bit of an adjustment for her, especially with the human customs versus faerie.
  After a year or so of this "dating", Rax proposed - El was overjoyed, relieved and in tears.
  
  Now, a few conditions were given:
  El was to use a minimal amount of glamour around Rax - just enough that the human woman could function in their relationship.
  No feeding of any kind from Rax - which El had never attempted anyway, given the life-diminishing effects.
  And finally, El was not to feed in their home or tell Rax of any of it unless specifically asked.
  She agreed to all of it.

  The sidhe felt a bit more grounded with her fiancee. This wasn't to say she had been 'lost' before, but it was nice coming home to same person every night. Nice enough that she was forgetting to feed until the hunger came along again. She went back to feeding regularly, acquiring a few new lovers.
  
  A small part of her always died with them if she truly cared for and loved them.. given that they were genuinely good people. The ones rotten to the core with greed did little but satisfy her when they finally drained. Tiring of losing the ones she loved, El began to seek these sorts out. The Fae began to feel sickened, taking on all the emotions of horrible people. She began to drink more, following her visits with bottles of wine and chartreuse.
  
  Rax taught her violin, and Ette easily picked up the cello and double base with it. Through these instruments, she was able to channel the unwanted emotion. Her music was haunting, enhanced by the creativity of those she had fed from. The couple started a band, and began performing at venues.
